If God the Father loves the Jesus the Son so much that He has given Him all things, then doesn’t it also make sense that Jesus would imitate His Father and also entrust us with all that He has been given?
We know that God loves us because He is a merciful God, not because of something we might do or who someone we might be. There is nothing God needs from us that He cannot provide for Himself except … a relationship. And because of that prospect He allows us to live; He tarries for one last soul.
God is love. What He does is simply how He is. Jesus is the same way, and we see the gift of life given to us when Jesus died on the cross. There is no greater gift. Jesus is the gift.
