Faith
2 Timothy 2:13 if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself the voice God gave me

Fortunately God remains on course even when those who serve Him wind up on endless detours. It should be, at the very least, reassuring that when we fall short God exceeds; when we overstep God remains a step behind, restrained and endlessly patient.
God is not only faith but the only source of our faith. Our ability to “stay the course” for even a little while is only because of God’s own faithfulness. Consider God’s belief in us, His faithfulness, such that when the time was right He sent His own Son to die for us.
Evidently God believed deeply in us at a time when we did not believe in ourselves or Jesus as Christ. He died that we might confess Him Lord, not the other way around. That is faithfulness for he could not deny Himself!
God’s time
2 Peter 3:8-9 Dear friends, don’t let this one thing escape you: With the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.
God’s time is not our time.
