Spiritual gifting

Romans 12:4-8 Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. According to the grace given to us, we have different gifts: If prophecy, use it according to the standard of faith; if service, in service; if teaching, in teaching; if exhorting, in exhortation; giving, with generosity; leading, with diligence; showing mercy, with cheerfulness.

Spiritual Gifting (according to grace):

Prophecy ( report what God is revealing to you in the Spirit)

Service (some translations say ministry … your individual calling)

Teaching (devotion to edifying and instructing in the faith)

Exhorting (lifting up, motivating and moving other believers)

Giving (giving generously of your personal resources)

Leading (be diligent and lead by example; leadership roles incl. pastor)

Mercy (helping in various forms; do it with a cheerful heart)

Every word and deed

Colossians 3:17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Give thanks at all times and in all places in the name of Jesus for whom, by whom, and through whom, the Father created all things. This manifestation of Jesus must be intentional in word and in deed no matter where we are or whose company we are in.

By His Spirit we do not have to broadcast our intent, but simply allow Jesus to shine through. Our daily walk represents a lifestyle of worship; we should be considered it a sacred statement. Remember … as Christfollowers we do not worship on Sundays alone; we have church wherever two or more are gathered!
