meditations for an everyday relationship with Jesus Human trafficking
Joel 3:3 They cast lots for My people; they bartered a boy for a prostitute and sold a girl for wine to drink.
“In the end, human life become a form of currency. Any value it had was negotiable … valued or devalued at will.

Looking back through the perfect vision of hindsight it was apparent that human trafficking had created an alternate monetary system, one that derived its value from the value of the flesh, pound for pound. There was no higher standard, only the highest bidder.”
This might easily be how those who look back will evaluate our world, seeing this time and place in history as a watershed moment. One cannot help but draw comparisons to black slavery, but we must know that this is not where such things began. Enslavement has always been the prerogative of the powerful.
Turn the tables and be a slave for Christ rising up to overthrow enslavement of the spirit.
The feast of perpetual joy
Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the oppressed are miserable, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.
‘nuff said … true is true.
… and, Happy is happy, not is not!
Misery and cheer are both self fulfilling. Which will you choose? It is, after all, a choice not fate or destiny God never destined anyone or anything to be unhappy except by its own choice.
Choose wisely, as what you and I choose in this life we also choose in the next.
