1Corinthians 5:7-8 Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, since you are unleavened. For Christ our Passover has been sacrificed.
Therefore, let us observe the feast, not with old yeast, or with the yeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Yeast has a place and a purpose. It is not for every occasion. Alittle bit of yeast will go a long way affecting the whole batch of dough. And while yeast is often associated with sin, it is also a metaphor for anything small that has the ability to create widespread change.
At the time of the Exodus the Hebrews did not have time to wait for the bread to rise; they had to get “outta town” before Pharaoh changed his mind! In this way unleavened bread has specific symbolic importance, as does the lamb whose bones were unbroken.
