Faithfulness

2 Timothy 2:13 … if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.

God is all that we are not and He is not what we are. Someday we will see this reversed and we will be all that God is and we will not be what He is not.

God is faithful. He doesn’t even pretend to be faithless like we do as a threat or to retaliate. He is not capable of such things, because God does not play games nor does He create a ruse to entrap us.

If we are faithful we are free. God wants us to be faithful and to be free.

Fools that we are

Proverbs 28:26 The one who trusts in himself is a fool, but one who walks in wisdom will be safe.

Sound advice that has remained true throughout the ages; in the vein that if one represents oneself in court one has a fool for a client.

It is clear that if we cannot safely place complete trust in ourselves, then there must be One higher in Whom we may place our trust. In complete confidence. That One is God. Seek Him; trust Him.
