Thank you for taking part in this project. We are looking forward to your sound and Visual materials. The following is a summary of what we would like you to provide us with. Please contact Jean-David if you have more questions regarding content or technical issues:

Materials to collect: 1.SOUND
RECORDINGS:
High quality (24 bit/48 kHz)usable length 30s to 5 mins depending on content. Do not process any of the sounds. We are looking for well recorded sounds with no alterations. Each sound submitted must be named using the following template: Name/Object_Action/Verb_Adjective(qualitative)_Musical attribute(Dynamics/ tempo)_location attribute Examples: Bamboo_flute_descending melodic line_soft_slow_Outdoors_Siem Reap_Cambodia or Street_Vendor_repetitive_speech_loudspeaker_Bangkok_Thailand This will facilitate the mapping of the sounds in our database.
You must submit sounds for the 6 requested categories ( indicated by * ) and freely choose from another 5. The total length of all combined recordings should amount to no less than 70 mins. Try where possible to choose material that contain soundmarks specific to your location.

3. Pictures 100 still images connected to the sound and video material submitted. Please indicate copyright or owner ship for any archival pictures you may send. Also remember to give us background if you are sending pictures of notorious characters (musicians, poets, politicians etc...) You may of course work with a film artist or photographer for the visual content.
4.Short abstract: 250 words. This will be used to contextualise the portfolio of collected materials
sent to the project and should ideally summarise the sonic environment of the country you are documenting.
5.Documentation: Four pages of detailed descriptions about the completed recordings, describing the socio-cultural relevance of the collected sounds.
6. CV: An up to date curriculum vitae/ artist biography as well as your artist picture(s)
7. Proposal: The proposal for your visit to Bangkok. This will include two events/talks: one at the exhibition and one at a partner organization (if applicable). We are looking for content that will engage our audience the ideas relating to culture and sound. Your proposal should include: 1. The Topic of your talk/event. 2. Activities (may include any of the following: Talk /performance/ sound diffusion/ workshop/ film showing) 3. Technical requirements.
Please note that the total amount of expenses for your visit (including the event) should not exceed 25,000 THB
8. Objects From Gramophones to instruments and other artifacts, we would like you to bring physical objects to the exhibition when you visit. These will be displayed as part of an installation within the exhibition.
