— MEDIA ARTS AND DESIGN FESTIVAL ?
เทศกาลปฏิบัติการป่วนทางสื่อศิลปะวัฒนธรรมที่อุบัติขึ้นพร้อมกับความโกลาหลแห่งยุคร่วมสมัย ไม่ใช่สื่อศิลปะ บริสุทธิ์ที่ล่องลอยอยู่เหนือพื้นที่ทางสังคมการเมือง ท่ามกลางบรรยากาศที่อึดอัดและสถานการณ์ที่คับคั่งด้วยความ วุ่นวาย ต่างคนต่างโหยหาสุนทรียะแปลกใหม่ที่เต็มไปด้วยความคิดและพื้นที่ทางสังคมการเมืองที่หลากหลาย พื้นที่ ของความโกลาหลนี้เองทำให้เกิดการสร้างสรรค์และนำเสนอความคิดผ่านการสร้างสื่อศิลปะ มุ่งเน้นการวิเคราะห์ วิพากษ์ปรากฏการณ์รอบตัวอันซับซ้อนหลากหลายมิติที่ถูกบิดเบือน ทั้งด้านวัฒนธรรม สังคม เศรษฐกิจ การเมือง ศิลปะ เทคโนโลยี และชีวิตประจำวันที่เราต่างโอดครวญถึงสภาพที่มันเป็นอยู่ตลอดเวลา ปฏิบัติการป่วนเหล่านี้ถูกนำเสนอโดยนักศึกษาสาขาสื่อศิลปะและการออกแบบสื่อ คณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัย เชียงใหม่ที่พยายามจะเป็นทั้งนักคิด นักปรัชญา นักวิชาการ นักวัฒนธรรม ศิลปิน นักออกแบบ นักเคลื่อนไหว ร่วมกัน ทำงานกับสังคม ผู้คน สิ่งมีชีวิตและไม่มีชีวิต ด้วยการสร้างสรรค์สื่อศิลปะแบบมั่วซั่วในประเทศที่เทคโนโลยีถูกใช้อย่าง ไร้สาระ พร้อมกับแนวความคิดทั้งขบถ รื้อถอน ถากถาง ย้อนแย้ง บ้าบอ น่ารัก เลอะเทอะ รุงรัง มุ้งมิ้ง ทั้งน่าสนใจ และน่ารังเกียจจะถูกนำมาสำแดงร่วมกันภายใต้เทศกาลอันโกลาหลที่มุ่งหวังจะให้เกิดการปะทะกันทางความคิดทั้งผู้ ชม-ผู้สร้าง และร่วมกันหายใจเสพสิ่งแปลกปลอมทางสังคมที่อาจกระตุกความคิดก่อนที่จะนิ่งสนิทด้านชาไปกับอากาศ ที่เราคุ้นเคย A festival that will turbulent the media art cultures which is happening with the chaos of contemporary age. It’s no longer castaway from the political space but we seek the new and fresh Aesthetics which are full of ideas and the various political views. These chaos spaces cause to the Media Arts that intend to analyse and criticise the complicated phenomenon around us. They are distorted in cultural beliefs, economics, arts, technologies and our lives in single day. We all grumble about this situation for all the time.
These chaos actions are going to be raised by the Media Arts and Design students from the faculty of Fine arts Chiangmai University. They might going to be philosopher, academician, artist, designer, activist that need to work with society, people, animal and any other things. According to the useless and perfunctorily arts in Thailand as same as the technologies had been using for nonsense, we are going to share it as reconstruction, irony, crazy, cunning, and adorable ideas. We expect that it’s going to provoke between the audience and the artist more or less. So let’s breathe and consume these odds of society. Wish it will encourage you before become an insensitive one.
(non) sense
sense คือ ผัสสะทั้ง 5 ที่เรารับรู้โลกที่เคลื่อนไหวอยู่รอบตัวในรูป รส กลิ่น เสียงและสัมผัส ผัสสะเป็นสิ่งที่ทําให้เรา เชื่อมต่อประสบการณ์ของตนเองเข้ากับ ประสบการณ์ร่วมของสังคม การรับรู้ดังกล่าว ไม่อาจอธิบายได้อย่างเป็นรูป ธรรมหรือหลักการเหตุผลเท่าไหร่นัก เนื่องจากเป็นการรับรู้โลกในลักษณะนามธรรม เป็นความรู้สึกที่ซ่อนลึก และเล่น ลึกลงไปถึงรูปการณ์จิตสํานึกของผู้คนตลอดเวลา sense is something that we can perceive as touch, smell, taste, see, and hear in whatever we can feel around us. It connects our own experiences and social experiences together. We can’t explain it as a concrete object or measure it exactly because it’s very abstract and mystery in deep down of each person feelings.
การทําความเข้าใจผัสสะทั้ง 5 จึงเป็นเสมือนการสร้างห้องปฏิบัติทางสื่อศิลปะรูปแบบหนึ่ง สื่อศิลปะในแง่นี้มิใช่เกิดขึ้น ลอยๆ ไร้ราก หากสร้างขึ้นมาจาก ประสบการณ์ทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรม ตลอดจนข้อถกเถียงจากปรากฏการณ์ร่วม สมัยต่างๆ ด้านหนึ่ง ผัสสะของเราเชื่อมโยงกับกับอํานาจที่มองไม่เห็น และถูก ทําให้เกิดการรับรู้อย่างเป็นธรรมชาติ การยอมรับและสยบยอมต่ออํานาจจึงเกิดจากการถูกฝึกและขัดเกลาอย่างอัตโนมัติ To understand the 5 senses is like to build a LAB of Media Arts. These media arts are not built without any root or reason but they were built from the social experiences and culture as long as the conflicts of contemporary ideas. On the other hand our Senses are related to the invisible authority that made we accept to the politic power intuitively, naturally and become a common sense.
(make) sense จึงเป็นคําอันเป็นบ่อเกิดของประสบการณ์ร่วมของผู้คน แต่ขณะเดียวกันก็สะท้อนถึงอํานาจที่ปกคลุม สังคมจนไร้ช่องว่างในการตั้งคําถาม ผู้คนไม่สามารถหลุดออกไปจากชีวิตประจําวันหรือจําเจแต่ถูกรัดรึงไปด้วยอํานา จนานาชนิดไปได้ หนทางหนึ่งที่พอทําได้คือ การทําให้ความเป็นธรรมชาตินั้น สะดุด เหลวไหล ไร้สาระ และไร้ระเบียบ สภาวะนี้เองน่าจะเป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้เรียกตัวเองว่าเป็นมนุษย์ที่สมบูรณ์ได้รู้จักกับคําว่า non (sense) ปฏิบัติ การณ์ non (sense) นี้จะสร้างความกระอักกระอ่วนและเสียดสีอํานาจที่มีอยู่ในสังคม ตลอดจนการสร้างพื้นที่ของการ ตั้งคําถามและการต่อต้าน อุดมการณ์ที่ครอบงําสังคม (make) sense reflects to the experiences of people and the power that cover all the society until there is no longer have a space to ask even one question. People can’t get it off from their life and they struggle to get out of this cage. The only one way we can do is to shake the sense off, make them fall or mess them up. These ways might give the chance to human beings to get to know ‘non(sense)’
ปฏิบัติการณ์เช่นนี้บ่งบอกถึงแนวทางการทํางานทางศิลปะที่ว่า " ศิลปะไม่ได้เป็นเพียงแค่ส่วนหนึ่งของสังคม แต่ศิลปะ อยู่ทุกอณูของสังคม...." This work is saying to people that ‘Art is not only a part of the society but it is everything of the society’
มาสร้างความไร้สาระบนฐานความคิดไปพร้อมกัน ปลุกระดมให้ความพล่าเลือน ความมืดบอดที่ซ่อนอยู่ภายใต้การมอง เห็นและปลุกให้มันทะยานตนออกมา ระดมกลิ่นที่อึนมึนของสังคมที่น่าขยะแขยงจนกลืนไม่เข้าคายไม่ออกในรสชาติที่ สะอิดสะเอียน สร้าง "กระบอกเสียง" ที่พยายามจะหลุดลอดออกมาจากมุมใด มุมหนึ่ง สิ่งเหล่านี้จะหวนกลับมาอีกครั้ง ไม่ว่าจะสมบูรณ์แบบหรือผิดเพี้ยน จะเป็นธรรมชาติหรือไม่เป็นธรรมชาติ Let’s make non-sense with the based on idea together. Wake your self up from the sleep, bright the blind to shine the true colours, gather the smells which society feel disgusting and make a noise that we wanted to shout for. These are going to come back again wether it would be perfect or not.
เราต้องและสร้างความ non-sense ของเราให้ make - sense เราต้องการปลุกให้การเสพและสร้างสื่อสมัยใหม่เป็น เสมือนพื้นที่แห่งการปะทะกันระหว่าง ประสบการณ์ดั้งเดิมที่ฝังลึกอยู่ในตัวตนของผู้ชมและศิลปิน We need to make the non-sense to be the make-sense. We desire to make a new media as a battle field of experiences of you and the artist.
มาปลุกความ non-sense ในสังคมนี้และสังคมโลกกับเรา Let’s raise your non-sense up in this society and this world together.
