OBJECTIVES
EXPECTATIONs
My main objective is to improve access to means of healthy living within a single mixed-use space. This space will incorporate features to improve mental and physical health while also providing facilities to allow for a healthy way of life. These facilities will include gym and fitness space, organic grocery shopping, healthy retail spaces and integrated green space. All this combined with a biophilic design scheme will improve the overall health of those living and working within it.
My desired outcome is to create a space that attracts both health conscious people and people with a new desire to improve their health. This space should be welcoming to anyone regardless of their experience or dedication to their health. The space should passively improve their health through the design and materials, while enabling anybody to use facilities to actively improve their health and wellbeing. The space will be accessible to everybody regardless of disability to ensure anyone can work towards a healthier way of life.
WHAT IS COMMUNITY MALL?
Community malls are a small-scale retail format that mainly serves the retail needs of the residential community in the area where they are located. They typically have a supermarket as an anchor tenant, with other retailers providing a wide variety of day-to-day goods and services such as restaurants, drugstore supplies, sundries, banking facilities and other personal services. There are some community malls that are larger and offer more such as entertainment facilities.

WHY EATING HEALTHY IS IMPORTANT?
A healthy diet is essential for good health and nutrition, it protects you against many chronic noncommunicable diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Eating a variety of foods and consuming less salt, sugars and saturated and industrially-produced trans-fats, are essential for healthy diet. Nutrients in food help repair cellular damage and maintain a healthy immune system. Vitamins A, C and E act as antioxidants to protect your cells against toxins. Calcium and phosphorus keep your bones strong, and sodium and potassium help to transmit nerve signals. Without a healthy diet, you might compromise any of these essential functions.

As technology has increased, the need for everyday movement has decreased significantly. People now drive cars, work while sitting at a desk and recreate while sitting still. Exercise functions to fill the gap between our decreased daily physical activity and our body's natural need to move in order to remain fit and healthy.

BOXING ( MUAY THAI )
Boxing is a cardio exercise that helps put the perfect amount of stress on your heart and lungs. Getting your heart rate up not only helps you lose weight but it helps strengthen your heart, control blood pressure, and reduce the risk of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Working a heavyweight bag for one hour burns anywhere between 400 and 700 calories.
YOGA
For many people, yoga provides a retreat from their chaotic and busy lives. Yoga studios typically don't have mirrors, so people can focus their attention inward rather than how a pose — or the people around them — looks. Yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image.

THEORY/DESIGN CONCEPT/KEYWORDS
BIOPHILIC DESIGN
Biophilic design is a concept used within the building industry to increase occupant connectivity to the natural environment through the use of direct nature, indirect nature, and space and place conditions. The word "Biophilia" was first introduced by a psychoanalyst named Erich Fromm who stated that biophilia is the "passionate love of life". The biophilic hypothesis claims that humans have an innate affinity towards nature and that their connection is beneficial. The integration of greenery, light, water and all sorts of natural elements in interiors positively affects people's perception of space and the time spent on it. The concept also applies to architecture and exterior facades, improving the urban landscape from a steel and cement scenario to a greener one

True Digital Park was designed to create a sense of belonging where individuals can live, work and play in one's own backyard, and connect to a community free from the tensions of the bustling city that surrounds us. A composition of meandering campus footpaths leads us to explore, mingle and discover. Open piazzas enable one to indulge in interaction, while intimate alleyways and gardens offer places for personal retreat.

MATERIAL CARBON SEQUESTERING
OLIVINE CONCRETE. Olivine concrete is one of the first carbon negative concretes in the world. It draws on the natural CO2-sinking properties of the mineral olivine and captures 133kg of CO2 per tonne of concrete. The concrete waste product will then be ground up and mixed again with CO2 reacted Olivine. Afterward sand, gravel and water will be added with fresh cement for a new round of construction.
BIO-MATERIAL ALGAE TILES Atelier Luma's Algae Platform was used to create 30,000 injectionmoulded algae tiles in 20 colors for the Tower toilet block in London. Researchers at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands have produced tiles made from algae growing on Oman's salt flats. Pink algae, which lends the Camargue wetlands and flamingos their unique rose tint, is a kind of waterborne algae. According to the researchers, the algae develop by absorbing carbon and creating starch, which may be utilized as a raw material for bioplastics or binding agents. It is becuase of this, that Algae-based bioplastics might one day replace fossil plastics while sequestering massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Researchers at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands have produced tiles made from algae growing on Oman's salt flats. According to the researchers, the algae develop by absorbing carbon and creating starch, which may be utilized as a raw material for bioplastics or binding agents.
Interiors of Ace & Tate's shop in Antwerp have been made from recycled plastic chips sourced locally by Dutch startup Plasticiet. As part of their quest to become more sustainable, Ace & Tate teamed with sustainable materials business Plasticiet for the shop in Belgium. By the end of this year, all of the company's glasses will be constructed of 100 percent bio acetate, which is recyclable acetate blended with biobased plasticisers rather than oil-based plasticisers.
