Heather has her own individual approach to watercolour. She often achieves a depth with several painted layers of intense colour. Some paintings have a dark brooding quality. These however produce a sharp contrast to her other work which is lively and spontaneous, having a freshness more often associated with this medium. She has exhibited nationally, including the Royal Watercolour Society, the Scottish Watercolour Society and The Sunday Times Watercolour Competition

Ron works in a variety of styles. Most of his carvings are of British birds, although he occasionally carves other animals. He uses several techniques including pyrography, painting and waxed finishes with fine detail. Carvings are produced in a variety of sizes and some composite groups. Ron is often invited to carve commissions and welcomes any enquiries.

David studied at Lancaster College of art, and began teaching in Ulverston in 1963 and continued in Coniston in 1973 and Barrow in 1992. He has always painted, but also enjoys graphics and carving. The main media he uses are oils, pastels, graphite and wood. His work explores naturalism and abstraction.

Working mainly in oils and charcoal Catherine’s portraits draw most inspiration from the people around her. They are honest studies, where flattery and outward beauty are sometimes sacrificed for self reflection and meticulous detail. Catherine has exhibited widely, including the BP Portrait Show 2001 and 2002, and has won many awards. Her work is collected nationally and internationally, and featured in Sky Portrait Artist of the year 2014.
