Author’s Note
Hello! Luie Boone here to say “Welcome Welcome Welcome! Welcome to Mom’s and my 6th volume of our magazine. Our 6th magazine adventure should rock your world! It rocks mine!! We are now proud to present our 6th volume of WAGGERS WELCOME. We have kept to the same set-up, as we feel this will keep things much easier to understand. Please, again, note that each vacation destination is broken into four sections. First being an explanation on the location. Second is the description of the vacation rental our family will stay at. Each family member has their own sleeping quarters. Other amenities are, also, defined. I have added a personal saying to each description. Please enjoy my expressions of each place. The 3rd page stays devoted to each specific location with 3 dog-friendly activities, 1 dog-friendly eating place and 1 unique dog thing about the vacation spot. I continue to end the section with a map from our home city of Hortonville, Wisconsin to the destination. This includes miles driving, hours on the road, (courtesy of Bing
Maps: “ Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions.” Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions. N.p., n.d.Web. 30 May 2015. https://www.bing.com/maps/.) Also, dog-friendly lodgings (if needed on the way) and my own pet peeve about the location are included. This is just so much fun and I am having the time of my dog-life discovering new dog-friendly places and still have the desire to visit each one of them. But, in the meantime, please enjoy my 3rd magazine! Your friend,
Luie Boone

Chapter 7: HAVE A DROLL WORTHY VACATION ON MINNEHAHA PARKWAY, MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA
Bring your dog to this beautiful, wooded, parkway in Southeastern Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the parkway follows along the winding Minnehaha Creek, you and your dog can stop along the banks and play in the creek’s water. View a chain of gorgeous lakes and a stunning waterfall. Visit a dog-friendly “popular park” all while exploring with your dog on the parkway. As “200-500 pedestrians use the trail on an average day”, it is easy to see why this is a “sought after” destination for humans and dogs alike!

In far West Texas “at the intersection of three states (Texas, New Mexico and Chihuahua) and two countries (United States and Mexico)” lies the city of El Paso. As “the sun shines 302 days per year on average” it is easy to see why there are “over 2.3 million visitors (and their dogs) annually” coming here. You and your dog should come here to enjoy playing fetch at “the 24,000 acre, largest in the United States, urban park”, hiking desert mountain trails, going to restaurants that serve either or both American and Mexican food or relaxing on benches along the paved sidewalk on the banks of the Rio Grande River. You and your dog will find El Paso to be “a very comfortable place to visit.”

This will be fine with us as that means little humidity so we can sit out on the patio and have cookouts without breaking a sweat. The temperature heating up may cause severe thunderstorms with flash flooding and that is when we, for sure, will be not be hanging out by the Rio Grande River. We will keep an eye on the weather as we plan out our hikes to the desert trails as we do not want to get caught in a sand/dust storm and instead will chose to stay inside to watch Netflix on the Smart TV. Also, dusk is a good time to catch a glimpse of a moose, therefore, in the early evening we will be out at the outdoor firepit, toasting some marshmallows, and keeping our eyes wide open. “Surrounded by the Shoshone National Forest and over 800,000 acres of unspoiled wilderness,” is the rural town of Dubois, Wyoming. Located in a valley, between the Absaroka and Wind River Mountain Ranges, with the Wind River gracefully flowing through it, Dubois is an “increasingly popular” place to explore, with your dog. The town has been said to “move at a slower pace,” which would be great for my cousin, Shadow…a pug who is never in a hurry, but still is a town that is filled with year round outdoor adventures. Whether you and your dog prefer hiking near lakes and mountain cliffs, strolling along a rustic Main Street, fishing in meandering streams or simply relaxing and delighting in the peaceful scenery, Dubois has what you and your dog are looking for in a memorable vacation.

As Brooke is listening to her music on the Patio, she may have a Bald Eagle pay her a visit. Going for a morning hike, Gage might have a Rabbit or two drop in. Mom hopes a Bear doesn’t pay her a social call as she is reading her book in the Sunroom. I am sure Dad will not be bothered when Deer and Elk stopover as he cooks on the Firepit.
