DEDICATION I dedicate this book to my Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ and to the blessed Holy Spirit of God. Knowledge, wisdom and revelation of God’s Word are a product of the Holy Spirit. Therefore all honour is given to the Author and Finisher of my faith, Who reveals His secrets and mysteries of His kingdom to me. I join Daniel the prophet who said, “This secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than anyone else living . . .” (Amplified Bible, 2:30).
APPRECIATION Since 2013, I have been studying the people (vessels) in Bible times whom God chose and used to fulfil His eternal purpose. During this time I systematically studied the role of women in fulfilling kingdom purpose. Early in 2015, I was given the opportunity by Apostle Kay Reddy of Umzinto Christian Ministries to share the
Word of God on a Sunday morning. I was led by the Holy Spirit to share eternal truths on the Proverbs 31 dialogue of king Lemuel, the prophetic utterance by his mother and the role of women in God’s kingdom. This message that was ministered under a great anointing of the Holy Spirit was well received by everyone present that morning. Arising from the wonderful response of the saints, I suggested to Apostle Kay Reddy that I share this message at her Annual Women’s Conference scheduled for August 2015. I am highly favoured by the Lord to have since been given the go ahead by the Apostle to speak at her Conference. Women Arise has since been a product in preparation for this Conference. Apostle Kay Reddy must be credited for allowing me to reveal the Word of the Lord placed in my spirit concerning the role of women in the home, society, the corporate world, the local Church, the Body of Christ and the kingdom of God. The Spirit of the Lord has given me deeper insights and Women Arise was brought forth. I must also acknowledge that God has used Apostle Kay Reddy and her husband, Pastor Raj Reddy to graciously allow me to serve in 1991-1994 as a Lay Minister and then as an ordained Minister of their very own ministry they had established in 1990. It was the Apostle and her
husband that discerned the call on my life and afforded me this wonderful opportunity to promote my Godgiven ministry. Thank you and God bless you Apostle Kay and Pastor Raj Reddy for releasing and developing God’s call in my life since my formative years. Yes, it is true that God used a Woman of God and her husband in 1991 to develop my God-given calling. For this, I am eternally grateful.

FOREWORD Women Arise is an excellent read. This book will empower and set you free. A must-read for especially women! It will make you understand that God has a plan and purpose for each one of us. As women, we should know what that plan and purpose is. We were born for this. Our first place is in our homes where God has given us the honour to be daughters, wives and mothers. As mothers, we ought to love and nurture our children in the ways of the Lord, to instil godly values to them and to teach them about their responsibilities. This is our first mission! In this book, Pastor Michael wonderfully shows us from the Bible the role of a woman at home, the Church and the community. I was blessed to read it. INTRODUCTION Women have a special purpose and a peculiar role in the kingdom of God. In the very beginning God declared that the seed of the woman will bruise the head of Satan. Thereafter God said to Sarah that she will become the mother of all nations. Women in both the Old and New Testaments are seen as generational carriers of the seed of promise, purpose and eternal destiny! Women Arise is a timely call to women to discern their purpose and place in the Body of Christ. In this present season, the Church of Jesus Christ is being elevated in the earth as the authentic voice of God. At the same time, God is unlocking the hidden potential of women who have much to offer to impact and raise a pure generation. This world has strayed far down the path to ungodliness. The 21st century is being challenged to reform societies and nations to God’s original design. About half the world population are women. It is time for women to act. It is time for Women to Arise. God is able to turn around your season of barrenness and make you fruitful. He wants to reveal the mystery of the Woman of Wisdom whom the king exalted in Proverbs 31. He wants you to arise after the women of destiny that went before you: Sarah, Rebekah, Rachel, Hannah, Deborah, Ruth, Esther, Abigail, Mary, Elizabeth, Dorcas and others.
CHAPTER ONE A woman of purpose and vision Women have a unique and peculiar purpose in the Body of Christ. Whilst men have been in the forefront of Christian leadership since bible days and continue to lead in this high calling in the present day, women are not to be seen as inferior or without purpose in the Church of Jesus Christ. Women have a special grace to help further the mission of the church and the gospel of Jesus Christ. From Genesis through to Revelation, we find that women were used by God to produce a godly seed that impacted generation after generation. Therefore, in the very beginning, God said that the “seed of the women will bruise the head of satan�.
Influence of Righteous Women
Presently, there is a great need for a pure generation to be raised in the earth. The twenty first century is being challenged to restore and reform communities and nations according to the original design of morality and godliness. What is needed is a generation that will stand up for righteousness. This is where the importance of
