Survive a Dull Party var seo_sids = new Array();var seo_osids = new Array(); [imaioVideo v=1] With events coming out of your ears, you’re sometimes tempted to just flake out and stay home instead. You’d rather be in bed watching your favorite show than meeting new people. However, you can’t always have your way. You’re obligated to attend some parties, and mind you, not all of them are going to be fun. In fact, some have been known to be major snooze fests and you just can’t wait to get out of there. While you can’t go home just yet, it’s time to create your own fun. You can have a blast and make that evening memorable. First of all, head over to the bar and get a drink. This isn’t about getting sloshed. Still, you can’t deny the fact that alcohol lowers your inhibitions. You’re more likely to approach strangers when you’ve had a drink or two. Just keep things light. You can always talk about the music that they’re playing or how you enjoyed your dinner. Don’t whine too much because this isn’t a great first impression to make. If you were to make friends, then don’t talk too much and put them in a tight spot. Let them talk as well and listen to them. You just might find something amazing. Whether it’s a romance or just friendship, it’s always nice to meet a new face. To have more fun, circulate and meet new people. Drag a friend along so that you don’t feel too alone. If you’re with a group, play some games and make the party just a bit more interesting. You don’t have to go wild in order to make the night memorable. Rather, it’s just about having some laughs because time passes more quickly when you like the conversation you’re in. You can even playfully debate about a variety of topics and listen to what others have to say. You can also start making plans about getting together again. This should get the ball rolling. Plus, you’ll actually have another thing to look forward to. When it’s time to eat, this could be a time for you to just let loose. You may be on a diet, but you can always do something about it the next day. When you’re hungry or when you feel deprived, you just can’t wait to get out of there. Hence, try to leave all inhibitions at the door and give yourself a chance to splurge a bit. Juts have a little bit of everything and take your time when you eat. So, make new friends and let the party work for you. This isn’t work so there’s no need for you to feel stifled. Talk to the people you meet, have your friends with you, and create the adventure. You’re never able to avoid parties. Plus, if you do stay home too often, people will stop inviting you. Just like everything else in life, it’s time to take things one day at a time. Fun is what you make of the situation. So now, it’s all up to you.
