Entry Level

Video Game Tester Jobs

Video game testers have an enviable job: they get to play all the newest games, reporting bugs and software problems before the game is offered to consumers. But finding such a job is not as straightforward as it seems. The competition for video game testers is phenomenal, as gamers all over the world strive for the same position. […]

Benefits There are some obvious benefits to being a video game tester. Of course there is the pay, which is incredibly competitive considering the fun factor of the job. Second, some games give testers credit at the end of the game, adding to the allure for those seeking permanent recognition. Finally, video game testers not only get to play the newest games before the public has even heard of them, they also get a copy of the final version. […] GLOSSARY
