introduction
october 9th ,1991 male indonesian gpa 3.31 (on a 4.00 scale) rdwn.fauzi@gmail.com
I am an an architect who likes to explore urban design and city life. I see everything in a bigger frame while simultaneously take attention to details. What I love about working in this industry is people will get the experience by stepping into the space and yet perceive different things. Over the 7 years experience of working in Singapore and Indonesia, I was employed by East 9 Architects and Planners (Singapore) and Design Alliance Workshop (Indonesia) where I have worked on a variety of residential, commercial, mixed use, and master plan projects. Aside from my office working experience, I have received awards on more than ten design competitions. Being aware of what I have achieved help me a lot to even develop myself further.
My main strengths: - Multiscalar design skill (micro & macro) - Analytical thinking and idea making
- Comprehensiveness and thorough - Versatility and adaptability

Located at the Western bank of Huangpu River, Taopu will be the western gateway of Central Shanghai, also the first Green Wedge development on the Outer Ring Road Greenbelt at the western bank of Huangpu River. The Vision of “Shanghai 2035” to become the city of innovation, humanity and sustainability of international standing has been reflected in development strategies of the city in different aspects. In the future of sustainable urban development will require the re-introduction of multi scalar nature and ecological systems that will surmount the obstacles posed by transport infrastructure, extending to some of the local historical and cultural elements, enhancing industrial heritage and injecting ecological awareness into a new human-centric environment. At the same time, blue and green infrastructure will also be extended to existing residential fabric, improving the quality and cultural identity of the local public space system, ultimately forming a performative network and projecting the past into the future.

Pandemic has disrupt the traditional economic supply chain, many industries will shift their tourism industries inward to meet the demand for local leisure and tourism. The rapid development of communication technology has also made long-distance work and flexible workplace more popular with the younger generation. In the future, young people will no longer be limited by the choice of residence place. Shift of habits and technology will allow them to choose the sub urban area with better natural conditions. Sancha Lake is one of sub urban area that offers extraordinary natural features. Its huge potential can draw young generation to move in and live by the hills and water. The goal of the project is to exercise possibilities of residential area with varied percentage of programs whilst embracing the characteristic of Sancha Lake.

The property market has failed to provide a suitable living environment for future generations. This is proven by the huge inequality in property prices and land prices compared to the median-household income. Therefore, it takes an innovation in providing affordable housing for the capital’s middle class. One solution is to reduce the purchase price of land through maximizing state-owned corporation’s assets (PERURI’s assets) in the middle of the city as a livable mixed-use area for middle-class millennials.

Enhancement of existing village by creating boulevard, landscape and repaint the buildings
In order to attract tourists, the existing buildings and the main pedestrian way is meant to be improved. However to maintain the originality of the village, major changes would be done on the outdoor spaces

selected work — 01
The site located at sire medana, North Lombok. Its remote location would give a serene ambience and calmness. The most interesting part of this site is the view of the sea and the abundant amount of coconut palm trees. Objective of this project is to create a design that promotes interaction between guests and the nature. As for the building expression itself, traditional architecture character is being adapted.

The Archdiocese’s objective is to optimise the church owned land for institutional purposes. It intends to build on this prime freehold site an iconic, integrated facility ti accomodate a home for retired priests to lead an active live; an archdiocesan centre for the formation of Catcholic with self -contained ancillary and complementary supporting facilities.
selected work — 03
The design approach for the Catholic Archdiocesan Hub is a humble and dignified interpretation of the brief and the site context. In optimising the existing site, the building functions and forms are articulated in synthesis with the land. The interplay of forms, land, and the mesh skin of the building simulates a “Cradle” protecting the people and creating an envelope which signifies God’s encompassing nature. The design also maximises natural light and ventilation as an approach towards sustainability.

Water is symbolic of Life. Mimicking the dynamic trait of water, non-linear unimpeded vistas are generated along the green corridors. These sightlines are also translated into ventilation through the land between buildings, promoting breatheable cluster of spaces.

In the design of the landscape, a green spine meanders through the heart of the site, where the existing chapel sits as an extension of the lush nature reserves to the west. Density of vegetation is varied along the green spine to serve as a natural barrier for private areas.

Natural light and ventilation play a significant role in the design. In the day, light infiltrates into the spaces. At night, the building stands as a beacon, guiding one along the right path, “through the darkest valley”. Courtyard spaces in the various buildings are oriented along the green spine and around the chapel, creating communal spaces for activities and personal reflection.
