During the 80s and 90s, SVT produced 16 animated Alfie Atkins episodes, directed by Per Åhlin afer Gunilla Bergström’s script.

Te first animated film about Alfie premiered in 2013. Te film is based on the book ”Hocus Pocus, Alfie Atkins!” In 2014, the new TV series was released, which is produced by Maipo Film and Nordisk Film in collaboration with the Nordic TV channels. Te animated series is based on 9 books that have not previously been made into episodes and 4 new original stories writen by Gunilla Bergström. Te narrator for the TV series is Jonas Karlsson.

In 2022 the Book-Films premiered, a new stle, directed by Tomas Alfredson with Jonas Karlsson as narrator. In Norway, Torbjørn Harr narrated the Book-Films with Tomas Alfredson as director in the studio. Te same happened in Denmark, but this time with David Dencik as narrator.
