Newsle er Spring 2019

vol.15

It has been six months since hurricane Michael, on one hand it seems like longer and on another is seems like it just happened. Panama City Beach is back up and running like normal. Spring break weeks were busy with families and lots of great seafood and pretty good weather. Now we are all getting ready for Summer. All of the amenities in Venture Out are open and looking great. Venture Boulevard got an update in part of the median and has beautiful new plants. The pools are both open and there have been lots of activity. You will notice that there is construction happening throughout the resort. Some repairs and some new houses being built. You may also notice that there are a few more empty lots. Construction is nothing new, we have had a lot of new houses being built over the last few years. All in all Venture Out and Panama City Beach is ready for you!

Make sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to keep up on all the latest events, schedules and special oers.

WEB CAM We have installed a new webcam over on top of the clubhouse. Make sure to check it out on our website and share it with all of your friends! www.vovpcb.com

Travel Tips Venture Out Resort (the main office, not us) has made a few changes for registration for this year. If you go online to register, the fee is still $45. If you wait to pay on arrival the fee is now $50. 2nd cars are now $60 (either way). The link to do the pre registration will be in your confirmation email. About a week or 2 week or 2 before I will send you a new email with the link again. I have no way to know if you pre-register or not, so if you get my reminder email and you have already registered you can just disregard it. The resort office has added an outside bathroom, it stays open until 10:pm so if you are playing shuffleboard at night you will have access to it. It is on the left side of the office with a solid white door. If you would like to play mini golf, shuffleboard, basketball, volleyball, etc., the equipment is free to use and is located in the guard hut. Tennis rackets and pickleball paddles can be rented in the main office for $3 each for 24hrs. Tennis balls are for sale for $4 plus tax for 3. The resort hired a new guard company, they are friendly but strict. If you have teenagers, make sure they have their drivers license or a copy of it with them when they are out driving the golf cart. This is the number one ticket that is given out every summer, so please do not let your children drive the golf cart if they do not have a license.

Bicycle Rentals We get a lot of people asking where they can rent bicycles, well now we have an answer! There is a new business on Thomas Drive up beside Sunsations. Beachside Motorsports, they rent bicycles, paddle boards, kayaks and street legal golf carts. Venture Out allows bicycles, but if you are bringing in a golf cart, it has to be street legal and you will need to register it like a 2nd car. If you will already have 2 cars registered to your unit, you will not be able to bring in the extra cart. Please keep these rules in mind if you are looking to rent a golf cart. You can launch kayaks in the back of the resort beside the boat launch.

Wine Knot This issue our “off the beaten path” and “featured restaurant” are the same place. Wine Knot Tappa’s Bar is a hidden gem in Panama City. The decor is very chic and the food is amazing! It really is a great place to go and sit awhile and have awesome wine or craft beer and great Tappa’s. Follow their facebook page to keep up with their special events and live music. Wine Knot is located in Panama City off of 23rd Street just past the intersection at Beck/390 on Ruth Hentz Ave. The restaurant is connected to the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. If you are there at the right time you can watch the dance lessons or on Thursday nights they have a free group dance lesson. It’s a great way to have an introduction to ballroom dance. After the group lesson stay for the Practice Party and dance what you learned and enjoy wine and Tapa’s Or a cold glass of the best Sangria in the state!
