Alice’s On Bayview Dinner Menu https://www.alicesonbayview.com/
Alice’s on Bayview Alice’s on Bayview is located in St Andrew’s across from the Marina. They have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings, a full Bar and awesome food. I love to go early to watch the sunset and after our meal we walk along the marina or over to Oaks by the Bay Park. They have a small menu, but everything that I have tried has been very good. They even have creme brulee and homemade keylime pie!

Off the beaten path We are always looking for something that is not on everyone’s radar. Something to do that not everyone knows about. This edition is all about Air Boat rides. There are a couple of different companies that offer them. We took the one at Air Boat Adventures. They even have a small gator farm area behind their building where they have a small 5 year old gator that they bring out for the guest to hold and take pictures with. They also give a nice informative talk about alligators. There are about 10 gators of different ages and sizes in the enclosure. After the demonstration, you drive your vehicle across hwy 79 to under the West Bay Bridge to park. The boat launch is there. We took the 3PM tour with Capt. Dean. He was very friendly and you could tell he really cares about the environment and loves his job. We rode down the Intercostal Waterway and it was not long before we spotted a couple of young dolphins. He stopped the boat to give us a chance to see them try to get pictures. If you have ever been out on the water when dolphin are feeding, you know it is difficult to predict where they will surface and they are fast! I was watching an osprey (bird of prey) on the opposite side of the boat so I never really got a good picture of the dolphins, but I did see them and the other guest got a good show. Capt. Dean had a little fun with us as he took off at high speed, it was a hot day and this helped cool us off. We started off again and headed further down the waterway toward a creek that was absolutely beautiful! He took us far back into the area where there are normally a couple of large female gators. This is hatching season so they were off tending to their nest and we missed seeing them and that was ok with us. We saw beautiful trees and reflections and the usual wading shorebirds like the Great Blue Herons an Egrets. I saw 3 Kingfishers and about 7 Osprey’s. The trip takes about an hour and the whole experience takes about an hour and a half to 2 hours. The trip was set to start at 3 and they ask that you get there about 30 minutes early for the gator demonstration. If you are looking for a unique experience I recommend trying this fun and informative tour. The hours are on their website, they stop running typically on October 31st, and start back after the first of the year. If air temperature is cooler than 60-65 degrees they will not run. Make sure to call or book online, as they do sell out most of the time. The sunset/after dark ride is one of the first to fill up.
