ABOUT the 5th Mini Album ‹ALIVE› ◆ The intro (simply entitled "Intro — Alive") is nice, it in fact lets you think that you're gonna get much more catchy songs right after. But then…. "Blue" comes up. And you get depressed. (XD) This, or you fall asleep, depending on your current state. Then comes "사랑먼지" (= Sarang Meonji), It very much resembles Bad Boy and Blue that would have been mixed together, which isn't a good thing, definitely. If you got 3 songs out of 6 that sound alike, it's pretty much a fail to me. The 4th track is "Bad Boy", bad choice of track-listing considering what I just said about Sarang Meonji. I actually prefer Bad Boy to Blue for my part, I think it's a good song but just not one that should have been chosen for a Comeback announced like the besets ever. The 5th song is called "재미없어" (= Jaemi Eopseo). It's again, another ballad. And then I'm starting to get slightly angry.ㅜㅜ Anyways, I felt like Top was more present in this one that the others(excluding the 3 Comeback songs we got so far), while I had that weird feeling of hearing pretty much only Daesung so far. Ah, FINALLY ! The 6th song is… "Fantastic Baby" ! AND IT'S NOT A BALLAD, WOOHOO~ PUT YOUR HANDS UP ! (XD) On a more serious note, it's simply the best song of the album for me (and believe it or not, I in fact have a thing for Ballads as of lately. So it REALLY means that I didn't like these ones.), It's this one we all should have seen as a first song for their Comeback. I'm pretty sure me, and probably tons of others non-VIPs (and even VIPs, because my BFF Rey; who's one; favors this song over the others as well !) would have been even more enthusiastic about it all. Anyways, they released also, which definitely a good thing ! Now about the last song, which is entitled "날개" (= Nalgae) and is a Daesung Solo, is just a excellent picture of EVERYTHING I detest in a song. No lies, I hate everything about it. The fact it's so common, that you have the feeling you've heard this a billion times already in the past, that you already can guess how the chorus is gonna go and all… It's just a big no for me. And I've always hated the pseudo-mix between soft rock and pop. It honestly sounds like some really precise kind ofJ-Pop that I already hater when I was into J-Music; so please no. So… Overall, this review is pretty terrible. I have nothing to actually say about most songs because they left me… Blank. Only Fantastic Baby and Bad Boy stand out for me. Yet, it's definitely not a bad Album so to speak because it's obviously well-produced, but it's just good for the die-hard fans. ABOUT the MV for ‹BLUE› ◆ Well… It's pretty, melancholic and all… And it's a bit boring. Also, I just don't dig Daesung as aBlondie and I keep wondering how Tayeang fans do not get tired of him as he's just always the damn same. Top's hair color leaves me quite speechless, too. Seungri's definitely the one I think looks the best and in fact sticks to the mood of the song. Ah, and I have just nothing to say about GD. Review taken from Semichan’s Blog.

ABOUT the MV for ‹FANTASTIC BABY› Review By: Rin Sanada

◆ Well, when I first had seen G-Dragon’s long hair, I was like no way, please don’t have it that way, but then I watched this video and was totally taken aback by the different colors that was used in the different scenes and so I loved his hair after that, especially the beginning part. The video itself was awesome, except there were parts were TOP and GD barely moved their lips and weren’t even dancing at all. But I get that GD is the leader and TOP is like the cool type. The song is of course awesome the only way a Big Bang song could be. So I definitely give this video like 5 stars. ABOUT the MV for ‹BAD BOY› When I saw it, I instantly thought "Ok, here comes the 2 in 1 MV Comeback. It looks like a visual follow-up to Blue. -__-". G-Dragon's outfit is just friggin' hilarious on all points, from his"Bad Boy/Good Girl" cap to his "Tonight" look alike Hedgehog coat. I mean, being a Fashion Icon has its limits. And it shows here.

Top, he, wears a necklace that purely looks like a big, shiny plastic toy that's worth 10$ at best,Taeyang's clothes are discussable too; as well as Daesung's since the two are actually strutting down the Brooklyn Streets in February with sleeveless shirts, while you can clearly see snow flakes here and there on some shots. The stylists and director are just plain crazy but it's Ok. Once again, Seungri looks the best to me (And just so you know, I really don't have a thing for him.). On a general level, this MV looks much cheaper than the previous one to me; which I guess was wanted since it's definitely filmed in a way that was aiming to make it all rougher and all. Going to one member to another during the whole thing quickly gets boring as well, especially since the only thing to entertain you here is the few moments when they reunite together for the dance routine.
