inception. This Local Committee has a history of producing leaders who have achieved

remarkable

success

in

their

respective fields and have also impacted society in a positive manner. With a vision to continue the same and contribute towards the growth of the Local Committee, the Executive Board 2011, aptly named "The Quarterbacks", have committed themselves to making this a legendary year. This year is extremely significant as AIESEC India has completed 30 years in the country. Also, it is in this year that the goals and vision will be set for 2015. Therefore, it is imperative that our Local Committee grows and contributes, keeping in mind Vision 2011. AIESEC Kolkata is determined to deliver quality experiences to its international trainees and will also focus on proper deliver to our stakeholders. The mantra for the year "Under promise, over achieve" speaks of our grit and desire to succeed. In the end, I would like to thank you all for all the support that you have extended all these years towards the growth of this Local Chapter and would sincerely hope that you all continue to do so. National Leader’s Summit 2011 Earlier known as National Congress, NLS 2011 was a brilliant experience for the incoming Executive Body. The highlight of the conference being the selection of the Member Committee body that will be the face of AIESEC India for the year 2011-2012. The conference was chaired by Mr. Aman Jain, PAI (2009-2010). The Conference was a learning experience for The Quarterbacks, giving them a chance to understand the working of the organization in a detailed manner, also giving them a chance to get to know their Commissions better.

Annual General Meeting 2011 th

On 6 of February 2011, the AGM was held to officially discharge the Executive Body 2010-2011The Bahubalis from their duties, after a review of their discharge reports, and to welcome the new Executive Body- The Quarterbacks, after ratification of their plans for the year 2011-2012. This AGM was chaired by the Regional Director Vikram Jain, MC VP Corporate Sector, 2010-2011. This meeting witnessed the transfer of duties from The Bahubalis to The Quarterbacks. It was surely a day that will be cherished by the entire Local Committee for years to come.


The Next is Here.. Recruitment 1.0 February Recruitment marked the beginning of the next set of leaders in AIESEC Kolkata. With an Organizing Committee at work, Feb Recruitment witnessed a pool of enthusiastic young leaders from every part of Kolkata, ready to explore the AIESEC world. With immense support from the Executive Body and the members, AIESEC Kolkata now stands at a membership of 70 members. Recruitment was followed by an intense induction and mentorship session for the members.

Local Training Seminar The Local Training Seminar was held on the 6

th

of March 2011 at the ILead Campus. This Seminar was organized for the new recruits to introduce them to the organization. Here each Vice President introduced itself and its portfolio, and explained them about AIESEC’s working, the AIESEC History, Experience, Way, Vision and involved the members in various team building activities. Also an AIESEC Kolkata Alumni, Mr. Varun Mimani, shared his experience in AIESEC and his life after AIESEC.


March Local Congress The March Local Congress (LCong) was organized for 2 days at the Country Club Resort from 12th March to 14th March 2011. The main purpose of this conference was to introduce the new recruits to the complex world of AIESEC and to introduce them to one another through various team bonding activities, after which the members were allocated in to various departments. It was chaired by Advyit Varma, MC VP ER, 2011-2012.And a session was held by an AIESEC Kolkata Alumni, Mr. Nitin Himatsinghka, where he also shared his AIESEC experience with the members. The theme of the conference being The Next is here, the Next is Now. Awards like Best Mentorship Group and Best Delegate were given away to the members. The Conference was charged of energy and enthusiasm The members were extremely excited to work for the Local Chapter and all set to experience The AIESEC Experience. Overall, a brilliant LCong delivered!


Interaction In Erudite Our LBOA, Erudite, conducted a mega knowledge seminar for all the MBA aspirants in Kala Kunj on 16th of January 2011. The speakers being Mr. Arindam Saha, Mr. Venkat Subramanium and Mr. V. Vishwanathan. AIESEC Kolkata was a part of this Interaction.

Interaction with Chetan Bhagat AIESEC Kolkata took part in the interactive session by Mr. Chetan Bhagat in G.D.Birla Sabhagar on the 26th of March 2011.This interaction was preceded by a welcome note by Mr. Vidhur Kapoor (our esteemed LBOA).A very knowledgeable and interesting session for all!

Holi Celebration AIESEC Kolkata celebrated Holi (the AIESEC style) with its members and interns on 19th of March where the entire Local Chapter came under one roof to get drenched in colors. Again a mark of togetherness in AIESEC Kolkata.

Discover India Initiative An initiative by AIESEC India to send CEEDers and Business Development managers to its partner countries this summer! AIESEC Kolkata successfully participated in this initiative through the Discover India social media day and through a video initiated by the entire LC.

Member of the Quarter After a brilliant OC term in Feb Recruitment and LCong, Siddhartha Goyal was recognized as the member of the Quarter by AIESEC Kolkata for his commitment to his work and his passion for the Local Committee. We wish Siddhartha all the very best for his future in AIESEC!

Youth To Business Forum It’s a unique platform which connects the youth and the corporate world where they discuss the global trends that affect our society, education system and the way we do business. This event will include panels and workshops attended by youth leaders from over 20 colleges, business leaders, media and experts of Kolkata, to be held in the month of June.

Recruitment 2.0 Quarter II will again witness another set of young leaders entering the world of AIESEC, where again youth from in and around the city will take undergo the Group Discussions and Personal interviews to become a part of AIESEC Kolkata, followed by induction and mentorship sessions.
