General Manager: Juhani Kalevi Sotka, 55 A national of Finland, Mr. Juhani Kalevi Sotka has extensive experience working in the hospitality industry, including as General Manager of several boutique hotels in Thailand. In his previous position, he was Director for Operations and Quality Assurance in charge of Asia and the Middle East at Best Western International.
Operations Manager: Marc Olivier Moreaux, 43 A French national, Marc Olivier Moreaux was trained at the Ecole Hôtelière de Nice and started his career in prestigious French hotels, including the Negresco, Carlton, and Martinez. He was then Cabin Manager for the Plane Unit of the French President before working as General Manager of a fourstar hotel in the South of France and moving to South East Asia in 2010.
Staff training will be provided by the Lao National Institute of Tourism Hospitality (LANITH) An innovative partnership has been established by the Riverside Boutique Resort with LANITH for the training in Vang Vieng of its newly recruited staff. The training will cover all key aspects of hotel services and management, including housekeeping, guest relations, safety and hygiene procedures. It will be followed by another training provided by experts from Vietnam on how to use a Property Management System effectively.
