Hudson TMA Will Host Annual ‘Stride and Ride’ Bike Rodeo
The Jersey City Project +the City of Jersey City will celebrate warm days, cool drinks and delicious eats with the annual PROJECT: Eats on June

The Hudson TMA will host its annual Stride and Ride Bike Rodeo at the Stephen R. Gregg Park in Bayonne on Saturday, June 15. Now in its 12th year, Stride and Ride is a free program that promotes bike safety and gives children and families the opportunity to sharpen their riding skills. The rodeo portion of the event includes an obstacle course, race and educational stations. Children who still rely
on training wheels to bike will have the opportunity to learn to ride on two wheels. Professionals will be on hand doing free bike inspections. In addition to biking events, Stride and Ride will also feature a community festival, free giveaways and a series of educational workshops.

Lastly, this year’s headliners, Kevin Farley and Jessica Kirson, will close out the festival on Saturday, June 15 Farley has appeared in Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, Curb Your Enthusiasm, It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, and has been touring as a StandUp Comedian for over 20 years. Kirson is a regular prankster on The Howard Stern Show, most recently appeared on HBO’s Crashing, is one of the few female comedians to have performed on The Tonight Show twice, and her Comedy Central special comes out this fall. Assia Wilson owner and manager grew up and lives in Jersey City felt that the community needed a local UPS store in the area . The store has the community in mind hiring local residents and giving personal service that is lacking from the Post Office . She stated “ we go the extra mile to help our customers with all their shipping and printing needs “

Yoga Fest Jersey City Each year during the week of the summer solstice is International Yoga Day. Cities and studios around the world come together to celebrate the union of yoga. In many instances, a public event is held that incorporates 108 sun salutations in an outdoor venue. This year Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City has teamed up with HDSID (Historic Downtown Special Improvement District), the City of Jersey City and the Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs to produce the second annual Yoga Fest Jersey City on Saturday June 22. The event will begin at 7am on Saturday June 22 on Newark Avenue in the green pedestrian zone and finish at appx. 6pm in the afternoon. This is a free public event.
