La roue tourne. Après un hiver interminable et difficile pour beaucoup, voici venir enfin un printemps réparateur. Fort heureusement, cette rigueur hivernale n’a pas réussi à refroidir notre enthousiame. Votre magazine vous propose une nouvelle fois son lot d’artistes captivants, de musées et de bonnes nouvelles. Ce long hiver aura en effet également permis de préparer et réussir un percée majeure dans l’optique d’un développement que nous souhaitons durable. Rivierart est désormais disponible dans près de 250 kiosques de Suisse romande. Ne doutons pas que le public saura lui réserver l’accueil qu’il mérite pour le plus grand bonheur de tous les artistes et musées qui lui font confiance.

Das Rad dreht sich. Nach einem langen und schwierigen Winter für viele folgt nun endlich ein erholsamer Frühling. Glücklicherweise konnte die Eiseskälte unsere Begeisterung nicht abkühlen. Ihr Magazin bietet Ihnen einmal mehr eine Ansammlung spannender Künstler, Museen und erfreulicher Nachrichten. Dieser lange Winter hat es in der Tat ermöglicht, einen entscheidenden Durchbruch im Hinblick auf eine dauerhafte Entwicklung vorzubereiten und umzusetzen, denn Rivierart ist jetzt in fast 250 Verkaufsständen der Westschweiz erhältlich. Kein Zweifel, dass die Öffentlichkeit Rivierart den Empfang bereiten wird, den es verdient, zum grössten Glück aller Künstler und Museen, die ihm das Vertrauen geschenkt haben.

The Wheel of Fortune spins. After a never ending and for many a difficult winter, here comes finally a respiteful spring. Very fortunately, these glacial temperatures have not cooled our enthusiasm. Your magazine offers once again its share of exciting artists, museums and good news. This long winter has in fact witnessed the preparation and successful implementation of a major development, which we hope to be long lasting. Rivierart is now available in nearly 250 kiosks across Suisse romande. No doubt that the public will give Rivierart the welcome it deserves, for the greater happiness of the many artists and museums that have placed their confidence in it.

Le milieu de l’année et son climat généralement estival est l’occasion de faire des rues et places du centre ville un lieu de culture populaire aussi bien que de fête. La fête de la Musique le 21 juin lance le processus. D’une plus longue durée, le Festival de la Cité fait du coeur historique de Lausanne un haut lieu de fête et de culture à l’orée des vacances d’été. D’une plus grande diversité géographique, Lausanne Estivale complète tout au long de l’été ce trio de manifestations où les participants s’approprient la ville dans un but festif et culturel. Culture, soirées agréables et réappropriation de la Cité sont ainsi au menu lausannois chaque année dans le courant de l’été.

Die Jahresmitte mit ihrem normalerweise sommerlichen Wetter bietet die Gelegenheit, die Straßen und Plätze der Stadt in einen Ort der populären Kultur und der Festlichkeit zu verwandeln. Die „Fête de la musique“ am 21. Juni eröffnet die Saison. Von längerer Dauer und mit Beginn der Sommerferien wird das „Festival de la Cité“ das historische Zentrum von Lausanne in einen Unterhaltungs- und Kulturstandort verwandeln. Von größerer geographischer Ausdehnung wird „Lausanne Estivale“ den ganzen Sommer über dieses Trio von Veranstaltungen vervollständigen, bei denen die Teilnehmer sich die Stadt zum festlichen und kulturellen Zweck zu eigen machen. Kultur, angenehme Abende und Rückeroberung der Stadt stehen auf dem Menü, das Lausanne jedes Jahr im Sommer anbietet.

The middle of the year, generally accompanied by burgeoning summer weather provides an opportunity to transform the city’s streets and squares into a celebration of popular culture and festivity. The “Fête de la musique” on the 21st of June launches this season. Of even longer duration and coinciding with the beginning of the summer holidays, the “Festival de la Cité” transforms the historical heart of Lausanne into a mecca of festivity and culture. Involving even more of the city geographically, “Lausanne Estivale” which runs throughout the summer comprises the third in this trio of summer events, and allows participants to appropriate the city for both festive and cultural intent. Culture, pleasant evenings and enjoyment of the city are thus each summer on the menu for Lausanne.

Née en Belgique en 1962, Kareen Regout vit et travaille actuellement en Suisse romande. Cette artiste positive et généreuse, à la passion communicative, nous séduit et nous transporte. Sa confrontation à la toile est urgence, urgence de la peinture, urgence de la vie. L’immédiateté de son être qui bouillonne et se dresse se ressent dans ses compositions aux structures et contrastes saisissants qui nous ouvrent littéralement des univers. A nous d’y entrer pour y trouver le nôtre.

1962 in Belgien geboren, lebt und arbeitet Kareen Regout zur Zeit in der Schweiz. Diese positive und großherzige Künstlerin, mit einer kommunikativen Leidenschaft, verführt und entführt uns. Ihre Auseinandersetzung mit der Leinwand ist eine Dringlichkeit, eine Dringlichkeit des Malens, eine Dringlichkeit des Lebens. Die Unmittelbarkeit ihres Seins, das sprudelt und sich aufrichtet, empfindet man in ihren Kompositionen aus durchdringenden Strukturen und Kontrasten, die uns neue Welten eröffnen. Es liegt an uns, diese zu betreten, um uns darin zu entdecken.

Born in Belgium in 1962, Kareen Regout currently lives and works in Switzerland. A positive and generous artist, her passion is contagious, seduces and transports us. Her confrontation with the canvas is an urgency, an urgency to paint, an urgency for life. MUSÉE SUISSE DE L’APPAREIL PHOTOGRAPHIQUE Dominique Derisbourg - Impressions du 22 mars au 16 septembre 2013 VEVEY - SWITZERLAND « Impressions », le titre qu’a choisi Dominique Derisbourg, symbolise parfaitement sa démarche : impression de la lumière, impressions ressenties par le photographe qu’il livre à son public par le biais d’impressions subtilement imprimées… L’exposition évoque l’ambiance de l’atelier du photographe, faite d’images juste affichées, imprimées sur des supports très divers, que le visiteur est invité à regarder, toucher, sentir… Un accrochage en perpétuelle évolution que le photographe viendra compléter au fur et à mesure de ses nouvelles impressions.

„Impressions“, der von Dominique Derisbourg gewählte Titel, verkörpert sein Vorgehen vollkommen: Das französische Wort „impression“ bezieht sich sowohl auf die „Einwirkung“ des Lichtes, als auch auf die vom Fotografen empfundenen „Impressionen“, die er seinem Publikum in raffinierten „Drucken“ offenbart. Die Ausstellung gibt die Atmosphäre eines Fotostudios wieder, in dem gerade Bilder aufgehängt wurden, die auf unterschiedlichen Materialien gedruckt sind und lädt den Besucher zum Betrachten, Berühren und Riechen derselben ein. Eine Ausstellung im ständigen Wandel, die der Fotograf nach und nach mit seinen neuen „Impressionen“ ergänzen wird.

“Impressions”, the title chosen by Dominique Derisbourg, perfectly symbolizes his approach: the French word “impression” refers both to the “action” of light as well as to the “impressions” felt by the photographer which he reveals to his viewers through subtly printed “impressions”… The exhibition evokes the atmosphere of the photographer’s studio, comprised of images simply displayed and printed on very diverse materials that the visitor is invited to look at, touch, feel ... A hanging display in perpetual evolution to which the photographer will gradually add his newest impressions.

C’est très jeune que Dominique Derisbourg, originaire du nord de la France, découvre la photographie et décide d’y consacrer sa vie. Après une année à Toulouse, il se forme durant quatre ans à l’Ecole de photographie de Vevey et se passionne tout d’abord pour la photographie de mode. Il collabore durant de longues années avec le magazine Femina pour qui il va réaliser de nombreuses images de mode. Il opte rapidement pour la diversification et travaille avec des appareils aussi éloignés dans leur conception que les Polaroid, les appareils jetables ou les boîtiers sous-marins à côté d’outils plus traditionnels. Il expérimente avec bonheur la photographie numérique dès ses balbutiements… Schon sehr früh entdeckt der aus Nordfrankreich stammende Dominique Derisbourg die Fotografie und beschliesst, ihr sein Leben zu widmen. Nach einem Jahr in Toulouse absolviert er eine vierjährige Ausbildung an der Schule für Fotografie in Vevey und begeistert sich zunächst für die Modefotografie. Er arbeitet lange Zeit für das Frauenmagazin Femina, für das er zahlreiche Modefotos macht. Bald sucht er die Abwechslung und verwendet neben der traditionellen Fotoausrüstung sehr unterschiedliche Apparate wie Polaroidkameras, Einwegkameras oder Unterwasserkameras. Bereits in den Anfängen der Digitalfotografie experimentiert er gerne mit dieser neuen Technik. It is a very young Dominique Derisbourg, originally from northern France, who discovers photography and decides to devote his entire life to it. After a year in Toulouse, he completes a fouryear education at the Vevey School of Photography where he first develops a passion for fashion photography. He then collaborates for many years with the magazine Femina for which he takes numerous fashion photos. He quickly decides to branch out and work with diverse equipment including Polaroid, disposable cameras and underwater cameras alongside more traditional tools. Dominique Derisbourg éprouve rapidement le besoin d’une expression plus personnelle. Très attiré également par la peinture, il s’oriente vers des rendus véritablement picturaux de ses sujets qui se diversifient de plus en plus. Les techniques d’impression qu’il pratique aujourd’hui s’approchent de celles de l’estampe et le tirage numérique est pour lui un magnifique moyen d’expression qui lui permet de jouer à l’infini de ses textures de papiers et couleurs. L’impression par jet d’encre suppose tout de même un changement d’esprit de la part du créateur car le procédé ne dépend plus de l’action directe de la lumière, mais d’un authentique dépôt d’encre ou de pigment s’apparentant au geste du graveur ou de l’imprimeur. Le métier, une fois de plus, se réinvente et avec lui ses pratiques, ses débouchés… C’est précisément cette démarche qui a séduit le musée désireux de faire partager à son public la découverte d’une étonnante résultante de la « révolution numérique », offrant une nouvelle liberté de création aux photographes, qui ne sont plus confrontés à un choix restreint de papiers argentiques aux restitutions de teintes fort semblables. Ils peuvent désormais agir à leur guise, utiliser des papiers conçus pour le tirage photographique ou en détourner d’autres, multiplier les passages, ou encore gérer leur propre rendu de la couleur, complètement personnalisé.

Auch sehr von der Malerei angezogen, findet er zu einer geradezu bildnerischen Wiedergabe seiner immer vielfältigeren Motive. Die Drucktechnik, die er heute verwendet, ähnelt dem druckgrafischen Verfahren. Der Digitaldruck ist für ihn ein wunderbares Ausdrucksmittel, das ihm erlaubt, endlos mit den Texturen von Papier und Farbe zu spielen. Das Tintenstrahldruckverfahren hingegen erfordert einen Geisteswandel beim Fotokünstler, denn die direkte Lichteinwirkung ist nicht mehr ausschlaggebend, sondern das authentische Auftragen von Tinte oder Pigmenten, was der Arbeit eines Radierers oder Druckers gleicht. Der Beruf erfindet sich wieder einmal neu und mit ihm seine Praktiken, Möglichkeiten usw. Genau das begeisterte das Schweizer Kameramuseum, das diese Entdeckung eines erstaunlichen Ergebnisses der „digitalen Revolution“ mit seinem Publikum teilen möchte. Diese bietet dem Fotografen eine neue schöpferische Freiheit, denn er steht nicht mehr vor einer begrenzten Auswahl an Fotopapieren, die sich in Bezug auf die Farbwiedergabe sehr stark ähneln. Er kann heute nach Belieben wirken, herkömmliche Fotopapiere verwenden oder aber andere Papiere, sie mehrfach bedrucken oder die Farbwiedergabe beeinflussen und sie vollständig personalisieren.

Dominique Derisbourg quickly feels the need for a more personal form of expression. Also very attracted to painting, he turns towards truly pictorial renderings of his subjects that tend to more and more become diversified. The printing techniques he practices today are close to those of embossment. Digital printing is for him a wonderful medium of expression that allows him to play endlessly with the textures of paper and ink . Inkjet method printing however requires a change in the mindset of the artist as the method no longer depends on the direct effect of light, but rather on a deposit of ink or pigments. The method therefore requires a technique more akin to that of an engraver or printer. Once again the profession of photography is reinventing itself and with it, its practices and possibilities... It is precisely this approach that has attracted the museum, eager to share with its public the discovery of a surprising result of the “digital revolution”. By offering a new freedom of creation to photographers they are no longer confronted with a limited choice of argentic paper or largely similar colour tints. Photographers can now do as they wish, use conventional photo paper or something more unexpected, multiple print, even manage their own color renderings, in effect completely personalise.

“Zermatt”, acrylique sur toile, 80 x 100 cm Dans sa série « Pixels », en référence à la physique, l’artiste joue sur l’opposition entre la volatilité de l’infiniment petit et le côté statique de l’infiniment grand. Sous un angle philosophique, elle considère la Vie comme un enchevêtrement de couleurs qui, posées l’une à côté de l’autre, créent un ensemble cohérent. On peut s’arrêter sur les instants que représentent les pixels pris séparément ou considérer la trame dans sa globalité.

In ihrer Serie „Pixels“, in Bezug auf die Physik, spielt die Künstlerin mit dem Gegensatz zwischen der Flüchtigkeit des unendlich Kleinen und der statischen Seite des unendlich Grossen. Aus philosophischer Sicht betrachtet sie das Leben als ein Gewirr von Farben, die nebeneinander gestellt, ein kohärentes Ganzes bilden. Wir können auf die Augenblicke eingehen, die die Pixel separat darstellen oder das Raster in seiner Gesamtheit betrachten.

In her series “Pixels”, relating to physics, the artist plays on the contrast between the volatility of the infinitely small and the static nature of the infinitely large. From a philosophical perspective, she considers life as an entanglement of colors, which placed next to each other create a coherent whole. We can dwell on the moments representing each pixel taken separately, or consider the framework in its entirety.

Dynamically, the gallery renews its exhibits every three weeks.

Juan ripollés, Le pianiste juan ripollés, La Niña (recto-verso) Du 29 avril au 25 mai 2013, les cimaises d’Art & Emotion voyageront au rythme de l’exposition ‘New York, Paris, Londres, Venise…Carnets de voyages urbains’. Du 27 mai au 22 juin 2013 la galerie présentera les œuvres de Juan Ripollés, artiste espagnol de renommée internationale. Du 24 juin au 20 juillet 2013, les artistes de la galerie organisent un déstockage de leurs ateliers: Art Déstock 2. La fin de l’année verra son apogée avec la magistrale exposition de Salvador Dali.

Juni 2013 präsentiert die Galerie Werke von Juan Ripollés, einem spanischen Künstler von internationalem Ruf. Vom 24. Juni zum 20. Juli 2013 organisieren die Künstler der Galerie einen Ausverkauf ihrer Ateliers: Art Destock 2. Das Ende des Jahres wird mit der meisterhaften Ausstellung von Salvador Dali seinen Höhepunkt erreichen.

From April 29th to May 25th 2013, the picture rails of the gallery Art & Emotion will travel to the rhythm of the exhibition “New York, Paris, London, Venice ... urban travelogues”. Née à Buenos Aires de parents ukrainiens, Cristina Katchaluba (née Kyshakevych) grandit aux USA où elle obtient une maîtrise d’Arts à Pittsburgh en 1976. En 1979, elle devient l’élève du sculpteur Gregor Kruk à Munich. En 2005, elle obtient son Doctorat. Son enfance dans la pampa argentine la rend réceptive à la nature pittoresque et montagneuse de la Suisse. Elle développe une palette de couleurs vives et contrastées, tout en jouant à mélanger aplats et zones où elle permet à la matière picturale de s’accumuler. Ses oeuvres se trouvent dans des collections privées ainsi que dans des musées à travers le monde.

Von ukrainischen Eltern in Buenos Aires geboren, wuchs Cristina Katchaluba (geboren Kyshakevych) in den USA auf, wo sie 1976 einen Master of Arts in Pittsburgh erhält. 1979 studierte sie mit dem Bildhauer Gregor Kruk in München. 2005 besteht sie ihre Doktorarbeit. Ihre Kindheit in der argentinischen Pampa macht sie empfänglich für die pittoreske und bergige Natur der Schweiz. Sie entwickelt eine Palette von leuchtenden und kontrastreichen Farben und spielt zwischen flachen Farbanwendungen und Flächen, wo sich die Malschichten überlagern. Ihre Werke befinden sich in privaten Sammlungen und Museen auf der ganzen Welt.

Born of Ukrainian parents in Buenos Aires, Cristina Katchaluba (born Kyshakevych) grew up in the USA, where she graduated with a Master of Arts in Pittsburgh in 1976. In 1979 she studied with sculptor Gregor Kruk in Munich. In 2005 she obtained her PhD. Her childhood in the Argentinian pampas makes her receptive to the picturesque and mountainous nature of Switzerland. She develops a bright and contrasting colour palette, playing between flat applications of color and areas of heavier pictorial matter. Her works can be found in museums and private collections throughout the world.

Le centre d’art de Fribourg est fier de présenter une exposition collective dont le commissariat a été confié aux 3 éditrices de la revue féministe Pétunia : Dorothée Dupuis, Lili Reynaud Dewar, Valérie Chartrain. Ce sera l’occasion de présenter les travaux de nombreuses artistes conviées pour l’occasion.

Das Kunstzentrum von Freiburg ist stolz darauf, eine Gruppenausstellung zu präsentieren, die von den drei Herausgeberinnen der feministischen Zeitschrift Pétunia kuratiert wird: Dorothée Dupuis, Lili Reynaud Dewar, Valérie Chartrain. Dies ist eine Gelegenheit, die Arbeit von vielen Künstlerinnen zu präsentieren, die für diesen Anlass eingeladen wurden.

« Invitées pour la première fois à concevoir une exposition sur la base de notre travail, nous souhaitons faire prendre corps à certaines problématiques qui sous-tendent notre travail éditorial à Pétunia. Nos réflexions sur le genre, les relations de pouvoir entre groupes et individus et la façon dont l’art s’emploie ou échoue à participer à ces débats de société, se matérialiseront physiquement le temps de l’exposition. La forme de l’exposition n’entend pas faire autorité, dans le sens où nous ne souhaitons pas entamer une remise en question du format exposition, mais plutôt simplement utiliser un espace, le meubler, l’occuper, par différentes formes, objets, récits, qui viendront en composer le paysage final. Une des idées fortes du magazine est de ne pas se référer à une actualité, de ne pas proposer d’éditorial ni de rubriques, d’assembler des formats textes/images, courts ou long, contributions existantes ou nouvelles. » Dorothée Dupuis, Lili Reynaud Dewar, Valérie Chartrain „Zum ersten Mal dazu eingeladen eine Ausstellung über die Grundlage unserer Arbeit zu entwerfen, möchten wir einigen Problematiken, die unserer editorischen Tätigkeit bei Pétunia zugrunde liegen, Gestalt geben. Die Form der Ausstellung soll in dem Sinne nicht maßgebend sein, dass wir darüber keine Fragestellung beginnen möchten, sondern nur einen Raum benutzen. Wir wollen ihn besetzen, mit verschiedenen Formen, Objekten und Geschichten füllen, welche die endgültige Szene bilden werden. Our reflections on gender, power relations between groups and individuals and the way in which art manages, or fails, to participate in these societal debates will materially manifest throughout the exhibition. The form of the exhibition does not intend to be regarded as an authority, in the sense that we do not wish to question or enter into debate on the format of the exhibition, but rather simply to use, furnish and occupy a space with different shapes, objects and stories which will compose the final landscape. Initiée par Gottlieb Duttweiler, fondateur de Migros, avec la création du Pour-cent culturel en 1957, cette collection est dédiée à l’art contemporain international. L’exposition, qui réunit une trentaine d’artistes, met l’accent sur les rapports de l’art actuel avec celui des années 1970, à travers des installations, des vidéos et des photographies. Plusieurs grandes figures telles que Sol LeWitt, Gerhard Richter ou Andy Warhol sont exposées aux côtés d’une nouvelle génération d’artistes, comme Sylvie Fleury, Christoph Büchel et Douglas Gordon.

M Selection presents a choice of works from the collection of the Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zurich. Begun in 1957 by Migros founder Gottlieb Duttweiler, with the creation of the Migros Culture Percentage, this collection is dedicated to international contemporary art. The exhibition that includes about thirty artists explores the links between seventies art and today’s, through installations, videos and photographs. Several major figures such as Sol LeWitt, Gerhard Richter and Andy Warhol are exhibited alongside a new generation of artists like Sylvie Fleury, Christoph Büchel and Douglas Gordon.

MUSÉE D’ART ET D’HISTOIRE Roger Pfund - le multiple et le singulier du 22 mars au 11 août 2013 genève - switzerLAND Peintre et homme de communication, Roger Pfund aborde avec le même appétit insatiable toutes les formes de création. Ses billets de banque, affiches et ouvrages véhiculent l’esprit de sa peinture qui nourrit tout ce qu’il entreprend et qui constitue son laboratoire de recherche. À travers un parcours de près de 250 œuvres, l’exposition révèle cette interpénétration du travail de l’artiste avec celui du graphiste. Le caractère rétrospectif de la présentation permet d’appréhender l’ensemble de sa carrière en abordant une multitude de domaines : papiersvaleurs, affiches, identités visuelles, architectures événementielles ou pérennes, aménagements intérieurs, maquettes d’ouvrages ou illustrations.

Mit ihrem retrospektiven Charakter gibt sie einen Überblick über Pfunds Werdegang und seine zahlreichen Schaffensbereiche : Wertpapiere, Plakate, visuelle Erscheinungsbilder, vorübergehende und feste Bauten, Inneneinrichtungen, Buchgestaltungen oder Illustrationen.

Painter and communicator, Roger Pfund tackles with the same insatiable appetite all forms of creativity. His banknotes, posters and other works convey the spirit of his painting, which fuels everything he undertakes and constitutes his research laboratory. Through the presentation of nearly 250 pieces, the exhibition reveals the interconnectedness between the work of the artist and that of the graphic designer, while its retrospective nature makes it possible to gain an overview of his entire career in its many aspects : securities, posters, visual identities, event and permanent architecture, interior design, book design and illustrations.

AURÉLIE MANTILLET, L’illusion de l’immortalité, acrylique et aérosol sur toile 97 x 130 cm, 2012 En maniant les symboles et en les réinterprétant, Aurélie Mantillet nous emmène dans une réalité parallèle où le quotidien revêt une apparence de normalité poignante. Cette plasticienne multi-supports développe aussi bien dans ses dessins, dans ses peintures que dans ses sculptures, une thématique du refus de la soumission en se concentrant sur des représentations de la femme, de l’enfant, de l’animal, ces sujets qui lui tiennent à coeur. Au travers d’un ensemble d’œuvres contemporaines, l’artiste nous présente ainsi sa vision de la condition de la femme d’aujourd’hui en revisitant tous les thèmes éculés de la maternité à la sexualité afin de nous les faire découvrir sous un jour nouveau. La question du passage de l’enfance à l’âge adulte, de la prise de conscience des réalités de la vie moderne et des choix qu’il y aura à faire, occupe également une large place dans la création de l’artiste.

Indem sie Symbole und Neuinterpretationen verwendet, nimmt uns Aurélie Mantillet in eine parallele Realität mit, wo der Alltag ein Erscheinungsbild einer ergreifenden Normalität ist. In ihren Zeichnungen, Gemälden und Skulpturen macht sich die Plastikerin das Ablehnen von Unterwerfung zum Themenschwerpunkt mit Motiven, die ihr am Herzen liegen: die Darstellung von Frauen, Kindern und Tieren. Durch eine Reihe von zeitgenössischen Werken präsentiert die Künstlerin ihre Vision von der gegenwertigen Stellung der Frau, indem sie alle abgedroschenen Themen der Mutterschaft und der Sexualität wiederaufgreift, um sie für uns von einer neuen Seite zu beleuchten. Die Frage des Übergangs von der Kindheit zum Erwachsenenalter, das Bewusstsein von neuen Realitäten des modernen Lebens und von den Entscheidungen, die getroffen werden müssen, nehmen auch einen wichtigen Platz in der Schöpfung der Künstlerin ein.

Manipulating and reinterpreting symbols, Aurélie Mantillet brings us into an alternate reality where the everyday appears in the form of poignant normality. In her drawings as well as in her paintings and sculptures, this multi-talented artist develops a theme of refusal of submission by focusing on representations of women, children and animals, subjects dear to her heart. Through a series of contemporary works, the artist presents her vision of today’s feminine condition by revisiting hackneyed themes, from motherhood to sexuality, in order to allow us to discover them in a new light. The question of the transition from childhood to adulthood, of the awareness of the realities of modern life and of the choices that will have to be made, also play an important role in the artist’s creations.

CULLY CLASSIQUE feiert sein 10. Jubiläum! Vom 21. bis zum 30. Juni 2013 bietet das Festival 10 Tage der Feierlichkeiten im „Geist des Ostens“. This year CULLY CLASSIQUE will be celebrating its 10th anniversary! From June 21st – 30th 2013, the Festival will be offering ten days of festivities in the “Spirit of the East”. Cette cinquième édition de «Little Treasures» est à nouveau une exposition unique d’oeuvres sur petits formats. Nous avons été une fois de plus surpris du nombre d’artistes enthousiastes qui souhaitent y participer. Prenant en considération de manière large la production artistique actuelle, la curatrice Paola Trevisan a choisi de montrer dans cette exposition un pannel de réalisations artistiques les plus diverses. La plupart des oeuvres choisies sont très colorées, pleines d’idées et nous interpellent au plus haut point. Il est fascinant de découvrir un tel nombre de petits bijoux, tous uniques. Chacun d’eux a été créé par un artiste de talent qui a accepté de se plier aux contraintes du petit format, de l’explorer avec créativité, comme en un jeu. Chaque tableau est une oeuvre d’art unique, mais le dialogue qui s’établit entre elles produit une exposition aussi holistique qu’harmonieuse.

Diese fünfte Ausgabe von „Little Treasures“ ist wieder eine einzigartige Ausstellung von Kunstwerken in kleinerem Format. Wir waren überrascht, wie viele Künstler immer wieder begeisternd teilnehmen wollten. In einem weiten Rundblick auf die Kunst unserer Zeit, hat Kuratorin Paola Trevisan in dieser Ausstellung eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Interpretationsarten ausgewählt. Die meisten Werke sind farbenfroh und fantasievoll, und viele unterhalten uns mit ihrer Verspieltheit. Es ist faszinierend, so viele einzigartige, kleine Juwelen zu entdecken; jedes von ihnen gestaltet von talentierten Künstlern, welche die Herausforderung akzeptierten, im kleinen Format mit Kreativität zu experimentieren und zu spielen. Jedes Stück ist ein einzigartiges Kunstwerk; und der Dialog zwischen ihnen resultiert hier in eine ganzheitliche und harmonische Ausstellung.

This is the fifth edition of “Little Treasures”, a unique exhibition of artworks in smaller format. We’ve again been surprised by the continuing enthusiastic interest by artists wishing to participate. In a 360 degree view of the concept of art, curator Paola Trevisan has chosen to present various ways of artistic expression. Most of the works are colourful and imaginative, and many entertain us with their playfulness. It’s fascinating to discover so many unique little jewels, created by talented artists who took up the challenge by experimenting and playing with their creativity in the small format. Every single piece is a unique work of art. And the dialogue among these pieces gives birth to a holistic and harmonic exhibition.

La Maison d’Ailleurs est heureuse de présenter la première rétrospective consacrée à l’artiste français de renommée mondiale, Aleksi Briclot, considéré comme l’un des plus grands créateurs graphiques actuels. L’exposition «Genèse: des croquis à l’oeuvre» propose à la fois de plonger dans un univers envoûtant et d’assister aux balbutiements d’une forme d’expression artistique méconnue, l’art numérique. Cet art regroupe des techniques encore largement inconnues du grand public et montre la voie artistique de demain: à l’image de la photographie au XXe siècle, l’art traditionnel va sans nul doute céder du terrain aux nouveaux outils et supports numériques. C’est à cette esthétique visionnaire que l’exposition «Genèse: des croquis à l’oeuvre» se dédie, en explorant plusieurs facettes du travail d’Aleksi Briclot, de ses sources d’inspiration à l’oeuvre finale.

Das Maison d’Ailleurs freut sich, die erste Retrospektive des weltberühmten französischen Künstlers Aleksi Briclot zu präsentieren, der als einer der besten zeitgenössischen Grafiker anerkannt wird. Die Ausstellung „Genesis: Von der Skizze zum Kunstwerk“ gibt die Möglichkeit sowohl in eine faszinierende Welt zu tauchen, als auch eine frühe Form einer missverstandenen Kunstgattung mitzuerleben: Digital Art. Diese Form der Kunst umfasst noch weitgehend unbekannte Techniken und zeigt den Weg in die Zukunft der Kunst: wie die Fotografie im zwanzigsten Jahrhundert, werden die digitalen Medien der traditionellen Kunst gegenüber sicherlich an Einfluss gewinnen. „Genesis: Von der Skizze zum Kunstwerk“ widmet sich dieser visionären Ästhetik, indem sie in der Arbeit von Aleksi Briclot mehrere Facetten untersucht, von seinen Inspirationsquellen zum endgültigen Werk.

The Maison d’Ailleurs is pleased to present the first retrospective of the world-renowned French artist Aleksi Briclot, recognized as one of today’s best graphic designers. The exhibition “Genesis: From Sketches to Artwork” gives the opportunity to immerse us in a captivating world and witness a nascent form of artistic expression: digital art. This form of art includes largely unknown techniques and leads the way to the future of art, as well as photography in the twentieth century, traditional art will certainly cede ground to digital media. “Genesis: From Sketches to Artwork” is devoted to this visionary aesthetic and explores several aspects of Aleksi Briclot’s work, from his sources of inspiration to the final work.

Il n’existe que deux musées au monde exposant l’Art de la science-fiction: le Science Fiction Museum à Seattle et la Maison d’Ailleurs, à Yverdonles-Bains. «Souvenirs du Futur» est le nom donné au nouvel espace permanent de la Maison d’Ailleurs, consacré à l’histoire et à l’esthétique de la science-fiction au XXe et XXIe siècles; il s’agit de la première exposition de ce type au monde. Suite au succès de l’inauguration de l’Espace Jules Verne en 2008, qui a valu au musée yverdonnois d’être sélectionné aux «European Museum of the Year 2011 Awards», la Maison d’Ailleurs dévoile pour la première fois dans de nouveaux espaces une centaine de documents exceptionnels (livres, bandes dessinées, affiches de cinéma, jouets, disques, vinyles) issus des collections de la ville d’Yverdon-les-Bains, les plus grandes d’Europe sur l’imaginaire des sociétés alternatives, des sciences et des technologies.

Jahrhunderts widmet. Es ist die erste Ausstellung ihrer Art weltweit. Nach dem Erfolg der Eröffnung des Espace Jules Verne im Jahr 2008, wodurch das Museum in Yverdon für den „European Museum of the Year Awards 2011“ nominiert wurde, enthüllt das Maison d’Ailleurs zum ersten Mal eine neue Dauerausstellung. Sie besteht aus außergewöhnlichen Dokumenten (Bücher, Comics, Filmposter, Spielzeuge, CDs, Schallplatten) aus der Sammlung der Stadt Yverdon-les-Bain, der größten in Europa, die sich der Phantasiewelt der alternativen Gesellschaften, der Wissenschaft und der Technologie widmet.

Only two museums are devoted to the art of science fiction in the world: the Science Fiction Museum in Seattle and the Maison d’Ailleurs in Yverdon-les-Bains. “Memories from the Future” is the name of Maison d’Ailleurs’ new permanent area, devoted to the history and aesthetic of science fiction in the 20th and 21st Century.
