Donations at Work Dental Drive Supplies Make an Impact Ever wonder where the donations from our Children’s Dental Health Month supply drive ended up? Once the donations of toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss were taken to United Way, 34 members from EWI (Executive Women’s International), a professional association for women assembled more than 50 family dental kits. The kits were then distributed to Community School Coordinators, which serve ten Milwaukee-based schools, in late March.

It’s nice to know our SKYGENerosity has made an impact on those in the communities we serve.

ROI2 Squad Slings Up Sandwiches The ROI2 Squad hosted a great on-site sandwich-making event on Thursday, March 21. We assembled approximately 160 ham and turkey sandwiches that were all donated to the United Way. A representative from the United Way was present as well to help support this initiative. The sandwiches were then delivered to the Salvation Army in Waukesha, which is a partner with the United Way. If your team is interested in hosting a similar event, please contact Cori Lawrence or Peggy Rennicke for additional details.

Living Our Core Values

Acknowledgement Shows Integrity!

Innovation is my favorite of our core values. I have always embraced change and had a passion for process improvement, even long before completing my Six Sigma Green Belt Certification in 2012. We can all benefit from making small changes in our day-to-day tasks. We should try to identify obsolete tasks in any given process, with a view to eliminating waste and saving the company time and money. I encourage everyone to look for process improvements in their work space, no matter how small, any improvement is a good one.

The Pies Have It: SKYGEN Celebrates Pi Day Who doesn’t like a slice of pie? On Pi Day (3.14), the Port Road Campus, the Office Services team, and Claims Administration leadership team sampled a smorgasbord of pies from traditional apple to mixed berry, and even a chicken pot pie.

Love Your Mother Earth Originally created as a day of education about environmental issues, the first Earth Day took place in 1970. Today, Earth Day includes events in more that 193 countries. Earth Day is observed annually on April 22, serving as a global celebration for environmental protection and green living. This could be a great opportunity for you and your team to do something together. Perhaps go outside for a meeting or carpool to work! If you need some work-related ideas, click here.
