Hunger Task Force Food Drive SKYGEN USA Gives Back

In the spirit of giving back to the community and helping build a stronger, healthier Milwaukee, SKYGEN USA once again hosted a food benefiting the Hunger Task Force. Bins were placed in each breakroom and throughout all our locations to collect food donations from October 24 November 9. Several departments even staged internal competitions to see

who could donate the most. Team members delivered the donations to Hunger Task Force the following week. SKYGEN USA is passionate about supporting our community and matched 100% of all monetary donations, as well as donated 50 cents for each food item collected.

Donation by the numbers: 2,502 food items $2,115 cash donations $3,127.50 company match Thank you for your enthusiasm and passion to help others!

2019 Mission: JOIN the ROI2 SQUAD! We are looking for a few good team members with follow-through and organizational skills to join the ROI² Squad. Or if you know of someone who would be a good addition to this team, please encourage them to join the squad! Make it your mission to join the ROI² Squad in 2019! RSVP to Peggy Rennicke by Friday, December 21.

Lilly Road Halloween Happening Halloween was definitely more treats than tricks at Lilly Rd this year! Check out the spread at the potluck lunch...nothing scary about it. Some team members even chose to dress up for the occasion.

Giant JENGA Fun!

What happens when you have a surplus of donated boxes? Create a game of Giant JENGA for a little holiday office fun, of course! The JENGA fun took place outside of Duane Wesenberg’s office (apologies to the Client Experience Team for any excess noise). People stopped by just for fun, and some of the more ambitious ones joined the JENGA tournament bracket. No word of the winner as of yet.

Can you top that height?

ROI2 Squad Favorites: Holiday Season Meal Must‐Haves! I was never good at making cabbage until I saw a recipe on Pinterest! This recipe is good for your soul, especially if you love bacon! The aroma in the kitchen is amazing! Here is a link with the recipe: http:// www.auntbeesrecipes.com/2015/0 2/southern-fried-cabbage.html **You can substitute the pork bacon with turkey or beef bacon. For more color I add red and yellow sweet peppers***

We don’t cook much at the Garcia household. Though every year for Thanksgiving and Christmas the one thing that is a must is Grandma’s Broccoli and Cheese Casserole! It’s not her original recipe but a similar one can be found here: https://www.allrecipes.com/ recipe/216320/broccoli-ricecasserole/ Just swap out the cream of chicken for cream of mushroom and you almost have Grandma’s ~ Tiffany Weathers recipe! Yum! ~ Alexandra Garcia

One very unpleasant dish we serve in our home is a Scandinavian traditional Christmas dish, Lutefisk. Although most members of the older generation in my family love it, most of us who fit the Gen-X generation and younger gag at the smell, and yet the tradition continues. This lye-soaked, gelatinous fish dish now stands as a rite of passage for children and initiation into the family for in-laws-to-be. The recipe is not worth sharing, but here’s a link describing the dish: https://www.thespruceeats.com/ lutefisk-fish-2952909 ~ Cori Lawrence
