Vrba has called the Hudson Valley home since 1977 and started her career in tourism in 1994. She has a background in recreation and in her past has worked as the Dutchess County’s Commissioner of Parks, Recreation, & Conservation, served as the Hudson River Valley Association’s director of tourism, was a partner in Crossroads International Management and taught as an adjunct professor at NYU’s hospitality program. In 2006, she was named director of Dutchess County Tourism; in early 2012, her title expanded to executive director and in that same year was elected to the board of directors of the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation.
