October Contact Breakfast to feature mayoral forum

he Chamber’s October Contact Breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m., Wednesday, October 21, will feature a forum between City of Poughkeepsie mayoral candidates Randy Johnson and Rob Rolison. A certified engineer, Randy Johnson has served on the Poughkeepsie City School District Board of Education since 2006. The Chamber will also have a box for collecting old cell phones for recycling on hand. usiness After Hours, one of the Chamber’s monthly evening networking events, will be held in Hyde Park this month. Members, nonmembers and guests are invited to attend from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, at Joseph’s Steakhouse, 728 Violet Ave. (Route 9G), Hyde Park. Complimentar y hors d’oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Joseph’s Steakhouse is home to the Val-Kill Tea Room once owned by Eleanor Roosevelt where royal guests were served in the 1930s and ’40s. The building became Jo-
