uture leaders of our community will be recognized during the May Contact Breakfast on Wednesday, May 20 from 7:309 a.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center. Local high school students take center stage as The Chamber Foundation, the not-for-profit educational organization of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, proudly presents over $50,000 in scholarships to those looking to further their education in the Hudson Valley and beyond. With some scholarships already presented in the fall, this brings the total awarded during 2014-15 to nearly $55,000. Chamber Foundation scholarships range from very broad to very specific in scope, some offered to students across disciplines, while others are precisely targeted for those pursuing a career in music, journalism, culinary arts, and more.
