ust over three months into his tenure as Dutchess County Executive, Marcus Molinaro will address the Hudson Valley business community at the March Contact Breakfast on Wednesday, March 21 at 7:30 a.m. at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel and Conference Center. The keynote address will be Molinaro’s first to an all-Chamber audience since he took office in January. Molinaro has made the fiscal health of Dutchess County a top priority in his first term. The county, as stated during his State of the County address in February, faces increasing service demands, the challenge of the new state tax-levy cap and continuing state mandates. He also made mention of his particular concern of the dwindling amount of money available in governmentcontrolled rainy-day funds, a situation he hopes to rectify. During his campaign, Molinaro pledged to aid the growth of county commerce by restructuring the economic development apparatus put in place in the mid-1990s and working with local and countywide government officials to cut through much of the red tape as-
