The Journey to Our 100th Anniversary Welcome to the 2020 Business Plan issue of the Chamber Voice of Business newsletter. This quick-guide introduces you to highlights from our 3-Year Strategic Plan (goals and key focus areas for 2020-21-22). It represents the hard work ahead on the journey to our 100th anniversary in 2022. You’ll also learn about our 2020 Strategic Goals that drive this year’s Program of Work for each of the Chamber’s divisions. Over the past three years, your Chamber has experienced an evolution through its Chamber 3.0 initiative. Collaborating DATA-DRIVEN ORGANIZATION FINANCIAL with our stakeholders, we defined critical success factors that MEASURE WHAT PERFORMANCE MATTERS focused us on doing what really matters to ensure we are INTEGRATED relevant, necessary and competent in this new decade of rapid MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS change (see illustration). This intentional effort has already contributed to us being more cohesive with our leadership, to invigorate our TECHNOLOGICAL CAPABILITIES programming and mission work, and to better influence outcomes that make the Rogers-Lowell Area a great place to DESTINATION visit, live, invest, work and play. MARKETING LEADERSHIP At this year’s 98th Annual Celebration of Business & GOVERNMENT COMMUNITY Community in February, we unveiled our new Vision and AFFAIRS & DEVELOPMENT ADVOCACY LEADERSHIP Mission statements and Core Values, another exciting outcome LEADERSHIP from Chamber 3.0. These were created by us looking within for a keen understanding of our brand’s DNA, which is a combination of where we have come from, what keeps us together, and what is our long-term aim. We’re growing business, activating leaders and building community this year through sound, strategic focus and increased engagement with our members, partners and investors. We need your ideas to inspire us as we fulfill our roles as the Voice of Business and the Keeper of the Community Vision.
