Women’s Club welcomes all
Since its inception as a resident generated idea in 2012, DC Ranch women from all backgrounds and life stages have been invited to participate in monthly Women’s Club activities. Organized by members of the group in collaboration with the DC Ranch Community Council, these year-round activities include luncheons, happy hours, educational classes, and interactive outings that facilitate social connections among neighbors.
“Whether it be bowling, learning and contributing to a local charity, exploring the beautiful Desert Botanical Gardens, or even sipping wine, the Women’s Club is a very welcoming, fun, and energetic group of dynamic women,” states passionate club advocate Victoria Hayes. “I have met women from almost every neighborhood in DC Ranch and friendships have flourished from the initial link of being like-minded neighbors. All ages and stages of life intermingle both on and off the Ranch and each month something new and different is on the calendar.”
Serving as a testament to how Women’s Club provides a powerful platform for ladies to connect, engage and grow, Victoria carries on sharing, “It was a thrill attending a charity luncheon last year and bumping into a friend, also from NYC, that I knew 25+ years ago. I don’t think our paths would have crossed without the DC Ranch Women’s Club bringing us together!”
When continuing to ask residents what it is about Women’s Club that keeps them attending events, Marla Walberg says, “There really is something for everyone. I particularly enjoy learning about the different organizations that support women throughout the Valley and what we can do to contribute and give back." Recently, ladies gathered for a happy hour event in support of Hope Women’s Center, an organization whose mission is to serve, teach and support vulnerable women and teen girls in any difficult life situation. The residents were joined by the Hope organization CEO who spoke about how donations make a lasting impact.
The overall success of Women’s Club is due in large part to the volunteers who serve as Club Chairs and on the program planning committee. All ladies from DC Ranch are invited to share new ideas that they believe support the mission of the Club and continue to promote fun, relaxation and connection for all who attend. Visit DCRanch.com for a calendar list of all upcoming events. Hope to see you soon!
