Stem Cells & Pediatric Cardiology “Hand in Hand
RAMSES Final Conference in collaboration with the
Egyptian Working Group of Pediatric Cardiology 4th International Conference
Pediatric Cardiology Department, Cairo University Dear Colleagues and Friends, It is our pleasure to announce that the Pediatric Cardiology and Clinical pathology departments, Cairo University are organizing an International conference, sponsored by the FP7 project ''RAMSES''. It will be held from the 7th to the 9th of May 2013 in the Marriot Hotel, Cairo, Egypt. This meeting is organized in scientific collaboration with the Egyptian working group of Pediatric Cardiology. The theme of the conference is
''Stem cell & Pediatric Cardiology, hand in hand". Over the past decade there has been a virtual explosion of knowledge in the field of Pediatric Cardiology, and Pediatric Cardiac surgery. The last couple of years have as well witnessed major breakthroughs in the field of molecular biology, genetic engineering and stem cell therapy. Through RAMSES project, which is a capacity building European project, Cairo University was able to establish a stem cell research lab with special focus on the field of Pediatric cardiology. This stem cell research lab has brought together clinicians and stem cell scientists trying to solve the difficult problems still encountered in pediatric cardiology. This was backed up by multiple, international, very fruitful scientific cooperation. The conference will explore all aspects of stem cell research as well as Pediatric cardiology from embryology, fetal medicine to all clinically relevant topics. Our Faculty will be as usual well known nationally and internationally in order to guarantee a top-level scientific program. Some of the top scientists worldwide are coming together to deliver an extraordinary program that you will not want to miss!! An all-time going technical exhibition will complete the panorama and provide for all participants occasions for a direct contact with the companies producing our everyday devices, machines and tools, that allow proper research, monitoring, diagnosis and management of patients. In the evening, you will be able through an accompanying social program to also enjoy Cairo and the special taste of our various historical cultures. It is our pleasure on behalf of Cairo University to invite you to participate in our conference.
Looking forward to welcome you in Cairo! Conference President Prof. Dr. Zeinab Salah
Conference President Prof. Dr. Hala Hamza
