National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society

The National Physical Therapy Student Honor Society was established by ACAPT in 2018 to recognize graduating Doctor of Physical Therapist students who demonstrate excellence, integrity, and professionalism in the areas of academic achievement, leadership, and service or research. Additionally, these students demonstrate strong moral character, ethics and personify the core values of the PT profession.

Clinical Excellence Award

The Clinical Excellence Award is presented to the student who was outstanding throughout their clinical education. They provided compassionate and altruistic care, carefully balancing the patient’s needs with evidence-based practice. Their strong sense of duty and integrity represented themselves, the clinic, RMU, and the physical therapy profession with honor.

Outstanding Clinical Instructor

The Clinical Education Award is presented to the clinical instructor (CI) who is an outstanding clinician, mentor and role-model. The CI encourages curiosity, provides the right amount of challenge to develop the students’ skills and confidence and provides constructive feedback for growth.

Dr. Robertson earned her DPT degree from Mary Baldwin University, Staunton, Virginia in 2017. She has been working in outpatient orthopedics for Results Physiotherapy in Gallatin, TN for most of her career. In 2022, she was promoted to the clinic director position. On being a clinical instructor, Dr. Robertson states, “I absolutely love my job and have a passion for teaching students!”
