The Ceremony of Fire and Water 742. — May 15th, 2022

“Hey Ya … Haiawa … Heya Hai … Atíʼas Tirawa!”

We are walking the forest paths of our ancestral tribal heavenly realm of the Pawnee. Though the trees of birch and pine and maple stand tall with great interwoven branches between, there

are still bright sunshine rays streaming upon us. Above us the emerald leaves are as green jewels that glow with the sunshine that is illuminating

our

way

forward

along

The

Kiicawihuksa River. The waters are swift, sparkling and blue.

Soon we reach the Lodge of Kiicawihuksa and enter into its great heat and fire. The room and its air is a brilliant orange-red that engulfs us instantly.

The

sudden

change

in

our

consciousness is powerful. A blending of great serenity, purity and awareness subsumes our mind and spirit. We sit in a circle round the roaring fire and continue our song: “Hey Ya … Haiawa … Heya Hai … Atíʼas Tirawa!”

Each syllable brings into us resonation of blessings of power.

We feel The Great

Oneness of The Creations. And as we do so, totem signs of many fauna and flora, water, rock and weather, storm through us with great sacred clarity. The Truths of The Creations are being revealed. They are as burning embers aglow inside our minds and hearts. Our song continues with ever greater force and energy: “Hey Ya … Haiawa … Heya Hai … Atíʼas Tirawa!”

We feel our true spirit coming forth.

The chief of the lodge speaks:

“We can now see our past, our present, our future in the totem signs that only show what is real, not what we might have thought as true or real. Each truth about our life is convincing us to change what must be changed so that we may continue our One Life in the Circle of Life that encompasses all Creations, whether the leaves, the waters cascading in the river or the stars above.

So long as we have spiritual purpose, so long as we follow Our One Path towards The One Creator-Father-Mother, we move one with the seasons of this world and all worlds.

We

discover what we must do to fulfill our purpose and we gain the courage to complete those steps on the path we are walking together.”

For myself, in symbols white and green, I see The Wolf and The Eagle, The Stars and The Waterfalls. Each symbol I see at a different part of The Four Sacred Directions. At the center I am standing up in the holy fire of this lodge. I am making amends in my life. I am taking steps to undertake the great works that have been entrusted to me to complete. The Creations of the Universe need each of us to arise and accept their Universal Tasks so that each of us may find the peace and light and love we are seeking.

We are next igniting in the red-orange-white fire. We are like embers of great heat and light. We breath in this intensity, fire-heat-light. Doing this, a greater purity takes place inside us. We feel lighter and stronger and brighter within. We

continue to sing: “Hey Ya … Haiawa … Heya Hai … Atíʼas Tirawa!”

We exit the lodge and walk to the banks of The Kiicawihuksa River. In its swift waters we wade. Our bodies aflame we immerse in the cool blue waters by standing under the small waterfalls cascading over large rocks positioned across this wide river.

The purity of fire has now become the purity of water. Becoming the essence of this purity is a goal of this ceremony. For by sanctifying ourselves, we are more able to create actions that shall channel the blessings of Our Creator, Atíʼas Tirawa. These blessings we now share

with all whom we are now connected in The Great Circle of Life:

We sing once more as we journey back to our mortal world in our dreams and visions: “Hey Ya … Haiawa … Heya Hai … Atíʼas Tirawa!”
