also gotten to our feet to continue the Path that leads upward and onward to You, The All Highest. Our real happiness is fully based on Keeping The Covenant!
For You, The Almighty, created us out of Pure Love! Your Wish for us is that we ourselves might live forever in Your Universe of Wonders. No greater gift is possible. We affirm the reason for our being is to overcome our lower self by living to give loving service in harmony with Your Ever-Presence. This unfoldment or overcoming of darkness is our eternal mission.
In The Valley of The Sacred Sun, tribal members are required to climb the Stairway of Stones to the top of a great pillar of rock. Our Elders of the Hopi Tribe, are the caretaker
guides for this mystic place of empowerment. Drums and chanting cries of “Taiowa” resound about us.
As we dance and chant, we breathe in the vitality of these living lands. Even the brilliant sun is enveloping us with this vitality. Our jubilation grows. We are becoming awash with the Hopi Power of Ascension. The Elders speak: “We are happy, that you have come into our land. You are always again welcome here. We pray that the Great Spirit of all Mankind may bless each of you. May we one day meet here again, always as brothers and sisters.”
Many of the Hopi then ascend slowly into the air above, transfixed in uniting their Power with the Power of Taiowa, Our Creator of Worlds. The Elders gesture towards The Sacred Stairway. We begin our climb in single file, still chanting sacred prayers, stomping our feet in uplifting, energetic rhythms. This stairway spirals slowly around and upward to the top of this monumental pillar of reddish-brown rock.
We climb each step with force, lifting our knees as high as we can and plunging each step hard into the rock. This takes energy but we are also receiving even greater energy from The Sacred Stairs in return.
There are strong vibrations of spirit to be felt in each step. Our old and negative thoughts are being shaken away from us. The top of the peak is still several hundred feet above, so we take the time to look around as we march upward. In the distant vistas, there are many monumental rocks of varying grandeur, reflecting the radiant power of The Sun of Suns which is shining upon each of them. I cannot help but feel each represents a different ritual and purpose for elevating our work on earth or in the heavens. Also, their solemn majesty is simply beautiful!
As we climb towards the top, our bodies are aglow with a bluish-white light. I am told this is the Power of Our True Spirit shining forth. With
a shock, I hear that no one can ever reach the top. Instead, all we can do is maintain our balance, our focus, our attunement with Taiowa.
There is no greater serenity and happiness in doing just this.
Our Hopi Elder Guides are rising in the air to encourage and bless us with their song chants and spirit dance. We will return to earth in mortal form soon but until then we living the path of The Sacred Stair. All our praise and thanks to Great Taiowa!
