Josephine Bakhita, Always— her mind on God, her heart in Africa. Twelve Years a slave in Sudan, Africa, Yet can only then behold unbounded beauty—sun, moon, stars— God’s Gloria! See the hundreds of scars from her many masters’ tortures, Yet can only feel God's graces: forgiveness, love, faith ... forever. Led her communities through crushing pain—and evil war, By serving and setting free the oppressed of Africa and Italia. To all suffering in trials of tears under human trafficking—intolerable, Affirms when God’s Will becomes Our Will—even hell, will heaven become—Alleluia! Ever Alive with The Spirit of Redemption: Josephine Bakhita.
