The new Hardcore Wave boards are completely re-designed shapes. With three other line of wave boards in collection, RRD presents again the most complete line of wave boards in the market. With this in mind we had finally the freedom to go and do a real full hi -performance ”hookipa” board that would satisfy our most demanding teamriders that usually like to get hawaiian custom boards when riding those powerful and steep maui waves. The Hardcore wave V4 is the final answer to those riders that do not compromise on sharpness of turns and want to be at the right time in the right place. Single Fin configuration allows to maximize grip and control.

Together with the ”Hardcore wave sisters” they complete the range of innovative wave boards shapes for ”everyday conditions” all over the world. Sharp, fast, instinctive and very sensitive to footsteering these boards will never let you down when the wind will be gusty or the waves will be mushy... still they excel in ripping potential when the conditions will be pumping again. FEATURES

Flat rail to rail entry on the very nose, it then evolves in a full V rail to rail configuration from mid board section all the way to the tail. Slight double concave in the middle hull section, to improve stability. Max width point about 10 cms forward with wider nose, has allowed us to create some great balanced proportional line in the middle/tail section of these boards bringing the middle and tail lines to be very harmonic and keeping a constant curve all the way to the very end of the board. The full rail shape and the generous TUE in the front allows to create some fast yet very turny wave boards that will be in perfect control in both rough waters or limit -to-plane conditions.

The Four

â&#x20AC;&#x153;Less is Moreâ&#x20AC;? A completely new addition to our wave sails line. The need of a lighter, softer and more forgiving type of wave sails was clear, and we made it happen. In the beginning we were afraid of having a sail that would be hard to handle in overpowered conditions, but after extensive testing and various modifications on the shaping points we have been able to achieve an easy to trim sail that holds lots of wind and remains in balance. The advantages of having 4 battens are clear: a softer sail that keeps a lower center or gravity and allows you make rotating jumps faster and in control. The longer boom of the Four will allow you to use your back hand on the boom as a throttle of your motorbike!

FEATURES

The longer boom and shorter luff are the base features on this new wave sail. The whole x-ply body and a monofilm top and window with a transition of lighter x-ply make it possible to keep a great sail strength and have lots of savings on the weight. The heavy cutout leech over the boom allow to create a very constant, progressive twist , helping the whole shape of the sail to be kept in place during the most extreme gusts. Two minibattens placed over on the top panel allow to prevent fluttering and keeping head shape stability.

The sail is designed to perform at its best in medium to big sizes, when power and lift are a dominant aspect in analizing sail proportions and shape. A 7 batten full body with a very sharp boom cutout and a middle stepped leech, the sail features a very pronounced twist from the middle to the top and a relatively full an twisty foot area for a powerful but comfortable lower area control. The sail delivers top speed in a few seconds and remains very stable under the most extreme overpowered situations. It feels light, manouverable at first touch. A real must for those speed addicts that want to sail strong and fast, but still have a lightweight rig in their hands.

“First small steps” The right cut is more crucial when objects are very small. The Kidjoy is the perfect sail to see kids start windsurfing. Every detail is in the right place. The proportional clew height depending on the size of the sail that corresponds to the age of the “new” sailor, matching the height of the booms, to the Dacron luff panel that flutters when tacking and allows minimal strength to keep the sail in balance.

The Kidjoy MKIII is built with a full X-ply window and dacron body from size 1,5 to 3.0 in order to have a lightweight but strong long lasting sail. The 3,5 is built in the same way, but with the addition of a PVC window to maximize the visibility. The sail line uses a color code scheme so that will be easy to spot what sizes are on the water for a school teacher. The 1,5 is white, the 2,0 Yellow, the 2,5 light blue, the 3,0 green and the 3,5 is red.

RDM Masts Available in 5 different lengths, the Wave Vogue Mast is a high performance RDM mast designed specifically for the use on wave sails and the superstyle sails. The new Wave Vogue RDM mast is available in 5 different Carbon contents this year : 60%, 75%, 80% and 100%. They all offer an incredible strength together with a fantastic weight and improved rotation of the sail. The 60% and 75% are recommended for smaller size sails and the 100% for bigger sizes or anytime that response and stifness are a must for performance.

Super SUP Classic

The Super 7’11” is a supercompact shape with the maximum width placed well forward in order to maximize the possibility to catch more waves on such a shortboard. The short outline in combination with a pinched in round tail allows you to create a very smooth yet very radical and super turny surfboard that will make you forget you are actually riding with a paddle in your hands. The multiple fin configurations allow the 7’11” to be ridden either with a quad fin set up, coming as standard with the board, as well as a thruster set up with a longer central fin. No limits for this shape that will be a must for every pro Super rider! The 8’11” and the 9’11” are based on the same high performance outline and bottom shape as the 7’11” little ripper, but being slightly longer boards we configure them to be ridden only with a thruster fin set up. Both these boards are easy paddlers and feature the amazing turning capacity of these great new modern shapes.

The rails are thinner on the nose while the middle thicknes has been beefed up a little to improve floatation and easier wave catching. The rocker curve of this board is progressively increasing in the nose and tail area and leaves very little room for any flat spots. The right amount of main ingredient to allow you ride fast waves with heaps of control under your feet.

K-Free 60

“Fast commuter”

After the development that we have seen in the last 3 years in Kite Racing, with the increased interest of public and media, we have received more and more requests for a new program of boards, that would keep the speed factor with light winds but would be less physical on your legs and easier to ride compared to a Racing Kite board. The new k Free 60 is 180 cms long x 60 cms wide. It has a diamond tail to help releasing tail pressure on the water when going downwind with speed, a typical feature of our Kite racing boards. But the k Free is much thinner and narrower, has much smaller fins to allow the board to be ridden by anyone who has ridden a directional board before. The positioning of the fin boxes , the angle of the front fins and the perfectly trimmed size of them allow the K free to be planing with 8 knots or less, and still be a fast and easy to ride boards with over 20 knots of wind. So we are talking about a range of over 12 knots! The K Free is fast but also easy to manouver. You can learn jibing or tacking with it thanks to the wide nose and the narrow tail. What else to say about this great , fun, and easy to ride board… go try it and smile while everyone else is sitting on the beach.

“Racing Machines” Developing Racing equipment has always been is my passion. Spending time in and off the water trying to improve every detail and get as close as possible to the ideal solution is what I truly love. Racing with a kite is a new challenge for sailing sports. It brings totally new parameters in the equation of functionality and efficiency and puts the stick a little higher especially when the wind is light. Planing with 6 knots of wind and reaching upwind speed of 12-14 knots and downind speed of 25-27 knots is no longer a dream. And you don’t need a wing mast and a catamaran, all you need is this board. We have worked very closely with the help of french rider Julien Kerneur, the current PKRA Racing ranking world leader, to develop both this board and the Addiction kites to have an unbeatable combination of speed and control. We have used every cm available of the board design to be used for maximizing the performance. Thick rails on the tail to improve lift on the fins, extreme tucked under edge on the front and mid section of the board to reduce friction over the chops and create an easier to ride shape. The deck design features a deep double concave on the center –tail section to allow a higher pressure with your feet on the board when using a central strap to go downwind. The new Global Bar V4 features 3 main improvements compared to the Global Bar V3: 1) A new Ronstan oversize stainless steel pulley for the de-power rope to radically lower wear out. Longer lifetime for your de-power rope. 2) A special stainless steel washer under the depower rope inside the chicken loop, to allow better rotation of the depower rope and avoid tangling during kite loops. 3) A stainless steel swivel on top of the extension midlle spectra line where the front lines are attached, to minimize tangling of the frontlines during kite loops.

DE-POWER ELASTIC TRIM In order to avoid the problem of having the excess of the de-power trim rope hanging around, and possibly going to distrub you while kiting, we have added an elastic bungee inside the spectra rope that allows you to reduce the excess rope and shorten it until 50% of the stretched lentgh. This new revolutionary lines are made with: an inner uninterrupted unidirectional pure dyneema fibers, covered by a pure dyneema 30° woven fabrics. The combination of these two styles of weaving the fabrics allow to obtain an unmatched low stretch factor of the lines reduced by 85% compared to the classic flying lines. The Rigid Thread lines allow the kite to be faster in the turns, to quicker transfer the power of the kite to the board resulting in more response and better handling of the kite in any conditions. Kiteboarding or windsurfing can use the same type of back support and the e-qlzr has an internal moulde support and a reduced walling thickness that allows the harness to mould itself around the body of the surfer. A system of retractable metal rings that will hide on the side pockets of the harness allow the kite to transform from a true kiteboarding harness (with the addition of a kite back leash ) to a complete and efficient windsurfing harness. A spreader protection pad and a quick lock harness metal release are designed in order to fit both windsurfing and kiteboarding needs. If you are both a kiteboarder and windsurfer you have no choice. More load on the spreader bar corresponds to a more dispersed load onto the whole back of the harness, creating a long lasting effect of comfort. The new version of the revolutionary pad and strap system for twintip kiteboards. The whole system has been completely re-designed improving both comfort of ride and easy assembling. The pad is thicker on the sides but has a lower recessed area for the foot placement. The grip under the foot is secured by a rough grooved 6 mms EVA surface while the whole pad is made with a low density foam that guarantees great cushioning on hard landings. The screw it plastic side parts where to insert the footstraps are made with a double adjustment slots that allo the straps to be trimmed not only in terms of foot size but also in terms of foot angle. The top of the foot towards the toes area can be trimmed differently (with more or less angle) from the one towards the ankle, so that you can really lock in the strap according to a full customised trim! No screwdrivers are required to assemble this pads and footstrap system!
