M HARDCORE WAVE QUAD CONTEST V4 The lightest yet toughest technology of construction a wave board can be built. As our custom factory keeps making progress not only in terms of shapes and design but also in terms of new construction technologies, the reflections of these developments go directly into the production line. We have created a separate full custom scaled production line with only special materials used and a special finishing level, to produce the lightest and best performance wave boards in the market today.

P P Sideshore Wave PRO monoconcave rail to rail configuration from nose to mid tail, with double concave bottom in the mid /back section of the hull. Flat F -andFullslight V shape on the tail in combination with a generous release of rocker allows a perfect exit of flow and board balance in the most critical moments of bottom or top turns. Wide max width point about 15 cms forward with wider nose, has allowed us to create some great balanced proportional line in the middle /tail section of these jewels being very narrow but never to abrupt or too straight. The outline flow and the volume distribution is a pleasure for your eyes and for the time you’ll ride these sticks in the best days of you waveriding experience.

WAVE CULT LTD V5 M The new shapes of the wave cults V5 incorporate the latest development of our hi performance sailboards line: wider body boards that are easier to use, more stable, planing earlier. This main feature (wide body) might seem in contrast with maneuverability, but when you actually work with a thinner rail profile, increased rocker and tail “V” then the whole right equation for performance level is achieved again with the good additions that the extra width will bring. A magic new formula that will improve the amount of sailing days in waves and will help improving your level.

Wave Oneshore P The all new outline with a pronounced “Kink” at about 90 cms from the tail, helps keeping the whole maximum width with more parallel lines on the forward section, maximizing the amount of board volume in the area you need to get going. Right behind the “kink” the board becomes suddenly narrower, enhancing maneuverability potential and tighter turns for radical maneuvers. Simply a blast.

M FIREWAVE LTD / WOOD When you think you have tried all the possible wave boards shapes, you will wake up one day and be able to try one of our new boards in the RRD collection: THE FIREWAVE. It’s really fast, quick to plane, and accelerates like a freeride board, yet it turns smoothly and precisely on the face of any waves.

P Fast Wave board F

It’s a new, magic shape that combines a long flat section of rocker line with a new wave outline which we developed for the highly successful 5th generation of Wave Cult boards. The other important shape feature is the volume placement of the board. It’s main difference from our classic Wave Cults is the concentration of the maximum thickness in the footstraps and tail area. This allows us to not only create a quick planing surface that combined with a reduced tail outline area, compared to a freestyle wave board, increases tremendously the Firewaves turning capacity and control at hi speed. All the FIREWAVE boards are equipped with a 3 fin setup designed exclusively by Maui Fin Company for RRD. The new fins are very upright, similar in outline and shape to our Quad fins on the V5 wave cults, and they create a great drive in the turns on the wave, but also a quick planing capacity and fantastic control at hi speed. All in all the FIREWAVE boards open up a whole new way of riding a wave board. Firstly, you can increase the amount of times you can use a wave board when the conditions are marginal, then you will also have a faster, better planing board when trying to get back out through the surf, and you will also be able to carry more speed through both your back and frontside turns. The volumes available are 102, 92, and 82 liters, (with the widths a cm wider than the equivalent wave cult), and you can choose between a solid full WOOD construction or a super lightweight LTD version made with Innegra Carbon fibers and PVC sandwich foams. FREESTYLE WAVE LTD / WOOD V3 M As the trend of wave boards shapes keeps going towards multifin hulls, we have preferred to retain a “classic”, reliable and fast planing single fin board line that would be suited for those who wish for a “do it all” type of short board. The new Freestyle Wave boards, Version 3, are four new simple, refined, retuned shapes that will cover the whole range of use of this program.

Freestyle Wave P The outlines of the boards have been re-designed and adapted to the new rocker line. The boards are now slightly longer (on average 2 cms) than the previous incarnations, the V2s and slightly narrower, starting from a 59 cms wide outline on the new 88 lts all the way up to a 64,5 cms wide board on the 108 lts, so between 0,5 on the smallest board and 3,5 cms on the biggest one. This difference in width has created a more alive, crisp feeling of the performance while riding and further more enhanced the control in stronger winds. The Rocker is now a little more kicked up in the very last 40 cms from the nose, to allow a small amount more volume displacement towards the nose and thereby create a better balanced feeling in the boards floatation. The Rocker in the mid/rear section is the same as the previous V2 version. Straight and fast. The Volume displacement has now changed with less volume on the tail and more volume on the nose, to create an amazingly well balanced board which ensures more accurate trim on the water both in planing and non-planing conditions. The simple slight double concave/ V rail to rail configuration of the hull allows a perfect flow and balance over the roughest waters in any conditions.

M TWINTIP LTD V3 There are only two programs in our windsurfing boards collections that get updated every year: the X-Fires for slalom, and the TwinTips for Freestyle. The reason in so doing is quite simple: every year we search new possibilities of increasing the performance level of the equipment so that our racing team gets the very best possible new details of shape, technology of construction and accessories package, so that they can have and edge on their opponents. This is where the RRD R&D custom factory can make a difference. Quick reaction timing on making new innovative designs and provide the very latest shapes to our teamriders around the world with production moulded boards.

P Freestyle PRO new TwinTips are the pure results of the last 6 month of non stop, blood, tears and sweat testing and modifying every possible detail on F The the boards. We have firstly analized the new manouvers that our teamriders wanted to perform during competitions that we can summarize into 2 categories: Perform all the moves/tricks with more height - Top scoring manouvers are now combinations of multiple manouvers In order to achieve this result the riders need: Faster top end board speed - More Pop, or capacity to get lifted out of the water Our design interpretation of these parameters has been: 2 cms shorter boards in order to achieve more POP, 1 cms narrower maximum outline width to achieve higher top end speed, 6 mm thicker volume profile of the board to allow easier landing in extreme, last second ”recovery”, and a supersharp tail edge to keep a super quick planing potential. We know that our design mix sounds like and impossible recepie, but looking at Jacopo Testa sailing, we are now sure that we have made it all possible!

M X-Fire LTD V6 The next step....we are in it to win it! Building on the world title design framework from last season and also leading the PWA 2013 World Cup standings in 1st & 2nd overall, RRD continues their market reference dominance with a clear leap forward in the form of the 2014 V6 series. CPT - ‘Contact Patch Technology’. Great scrutiny and R&D efforts have been placed on what we call the ‘Contact Patch’, the wetted surface release section underneath our unique ‘TT Tail’ situated at the back foot. Due to the fact that the TT Tail keeps the back foot at the ideal angle of attack to pressure the fin correctly, we then have the ability to create a wide variety of cut-out options that greatly affect the ride of this high-performance package.

We found that this release point on the ‘outside flats’ just in front of the cut-outs is very sensitive with big differences achieved from small modifications during the development process. This is the ultimate key to how the slalom board: • Trims • Accelerates • Gybes Through meticulous testing methods performed over a wide variety of conditions with our new ‘Contact Patch’, we found a massive increase in overall performance with the following points being achieved: • Increased top end speed especially in flatter water • Clear acceleration boost especially in the gusts • Easier to plant the rail harder into a racing gybe • More comfortable ride over the chop, the new design ‘eats’ the waves • The ability to use smaller fins = less drag • Less back-leg pressure especially when going more downwind

M X-FIRE LIGHTWIND LTD This is the new X-Fire LIGHT WIND LTD. A new great light wind machine that will make every day the perfect day to go fast on the water. Finally a real light wind “killer” that proves that windsurfing is fantastic starting with 8 knots. Specifically designed to be used with big sail sizes from 8.0 square meters and up, the X-Fire Light Wind LTD takes inspiration from our racing machines used by Antoine Albeau in the PWA world tour and goes one step further in using the physics of light wind weather and pushing the boundaries of efficiency in this very special conditions. The board is 236 x 91 cms of width, with a a very wide tail area designed with a Toro tail profile, to help the planing capacity but also keeping into account the importance of getting the board as free as possible and out of the water once going. Reaching great top end speeds with such lite air has never been easier, also thanks to the big cutouts in the tail area that help releasing the wide tail from the water, making the board rolling onto one side and keeping the low nose profile high enough but perfectly trimmed so that it never flies out. Once the board is up and going it is so simple to go fast an keep the whole system in control. Also jibing this big monster is quite easy thanks to the Toro Tail, and it’s going to be interesting to learn never loose the plane with such light wind.

M FIREMOVE LTD / WOOD / E-TECH V2 The most contradictive design in our windsurfing collection has conquered the heart of many passionate windsurfer in last two years since its first launch on the market.The Firemove concept is based on an oversized middle width, an extra reduced volume thickness and rail shape, combined with a very long flat section scooprocker line. An impossible combination for most at first, a real innovation for all after testing this magic breed of board shapes.This year we have gone one step further and refined in the most important details of this new line of boards. Firstly we have modified only the 102-112-122 shapes by adding 2 lts of volume of the most common sizes and left un-altered the shapes of the 130 and 140 lts. The slight addition of volume combined with extra 2 cms in length and 1 cm reduced width has allowed this magic shape to extend even further its phenomenal range of use.It now ranges from being a super early planer & easy jiber to a pure hi wind controlled bump & jump board with a definite attitude to reach top level speeds.The quality that has made this line of board shine remains its manouverabilty: thanks to a narrower nose and tail design and width, it has gained tremendously in this area, bringing the Firemove V2 boards to be the potential “board of the year” in the RRD range for 2014.

The wide body of these new shapes allows better planing capacity by keeping a relatively short compact shape. Freeride P Full rails from nose to tail have made possible the use of shorter and wider outlines. The scooprocker has been flattened especially in correspondance to the mast track position in order to improve planning and reduce impact with chops. Increasing V towards the tail area, as a classic freeride board allows fantastic turns and great ease of control for your back foot. THE FOUR MKIII M Over the last 2 seasons the Four has become the most popular wave sail in the line up. Whether its down the line riding at Hookipa, or onshore jumping in northern Europe, this is one sail that you can rely on to take your sailing to the next level. 4 battens and a powerful on/off feel allow the rider to really drive through their turns and explode through their moves. More back hand pressure than the Vogue, this acts like a motorbike throttle to accelerate the rider towards the lip, whether its jumping or riding. The new head curve had a huge influence on the performance of the larger sizes, drastically reducing the swing weight, giving the sail an incredible light weight feel. Further refinements in both the outline and profile have improved control, making this still the best all around wave sail for the modern wave sailor.

M MOVE MKII Introduced last year, the Move transformed the lives of the freestyle wave and free move rider. The Mk2 takes this to another level. With a sail line that morphs from a 6 batten racey blaster, to a 5 batten throw-about ripper, this is a line that will satisfy every riders desire to have fun on the water. For the Move we stepped back and analyzed exactly what a rider wants in each size of sail. This changes massively from 8.0 down to 4.2, so the Move is designed to fits the needs of every free-style wave and free move rider. The 6.7, 7.2 and NEW 8.0 all feature 6 battens and a more blasty orientated ride. The 6.2 and 5.7 offer fun maneuver based performance, whilst the 5.2, 4.7 and 4.2 become bump and jump and even wave orientated. Whether its jumping, gybing or blasting, for someone that wants to have maximum fun no matter what the wind, the Move does it all with Style.

• 6.7-7.2-8.0 – The addition of the cross batten to make a 6 batten blaster, along with tube rod battens, has massively increased the stability and speed of the larger sizes. They still remain fun to throw around, but lock them down and they fly. • 5.7-6.2 – Optimized for the larger freestyle wave or freemove boards. With 5 battens and plenty of get up and go, these are more throw about than the larger sizes, but still stable and good blasters. • 5.2-4.2 – Bump and jump machines that can also be thrown around in the waves too. The New Style Pro takes freestyle to a whole new level. Modern freestyle has developed in a way that means a freestyle sail needs to deliver both huge amounts of power, as well as unprecedented levels of control. The Style Pro achieves this with a combination of the Power Luff zone and the 4 batten structure. When sheeted out the sail sits with an incredibly flat profile, perfect for ducking into wind or maneuvering into position. The 3 cam freerace sail combines top slalom sail performance together with unrivalled ease of use and rigging. The New Firewing will take you faster than ever before. A huge amount of work and development has gone into the new Firewing and the results have been breathtaking. Starting with a reworking of the sizes we introduce the new 5.7, 6.2, 7.0, 7.8, 8.6 and 9.4. Bottom end has never been an issue for the Firewing, but through refinement in the battens and foil shape we have been able to drastically improve the top end, giving the sail an almost unlimited top speed. These sails will destroy any GPS record. We also worked tirelessly to reduce the weight, scraping off up to 500g’s at no cost to the durability. At the same time the fundamental goals of keeping the sail easy to use means the Firewing rigs effortlessly and thanks to refinements in the luff pocket, the rotation is smoother than ever in the gybes.

Every detail has been thought through and put in the right place, such as boom heights proportionally sized depending on the sail. Freemove fins: Based on the experience achieved by the feedback coming from our biggest line of boards, the freemove fins program, is a perfect mix of speed potential, maneuverability and control. Good lift thanks to a relative thicker base profile and a moderate/narrow base width to improve maneuverability. The swept back outline is a great parameter to keep great tracking even at lower speed. Freestyle wave fins: Our bread & butter boards program, can now be equipped with a new additional size fin. Wide base and thin profile tip are the main features of the super easy, great performance fins line. The fins will create easier handling over the toughest chops and allow easier planning when underpowered. Razor fins: A new design with a very thin foil and a medium width base. This shape delivers plenty of speed potential and a great flex for maximum control on racing and freerace boards.
