“Today, to a large extent, we have to work on what is already built. The earth is mostly no longer virgin has been deeply altered through uman intervention. The enviroment is artificial. The task of organising, becomes the task of transforming previously formed bodies. Construction is as well as constructive, “destructive”, a process of metamorphosis rather than a forming process. This is a task that is not so much on the side of what cybernetics we term the organisation or construction of complexity, but a task on the side of entropy.”

his portfolio is a collection of work and reflections from my undergraduate studies at the “High technical School of Architecture from Seville” and some other professional experiences working as an intern and as an assistant architect. Each project is the result of a previous detailed study of conditions, needs and problematic. I like the intended architecture, which has an overwhelming reflection process. Pleases me to develop critical spirit. Pleases me to learn and to grow as architect and to experience new perspectives and ways to perceive and feel architecture.

ALZHEIMER’S DAY CARE RESOURCE CENTER in Castro del Río (Córdoba, Spain) FINAL MASTER PROJEC. 2013

he presented proposal exposes the research of our surrounding landscape. The proximity of the river and the view of the hills on the south has been quite influential in our project. The urban intervention is located on a border area, in the west of the village. It considers a green space, an Alzheimer’s Day Care Resource Center and a café, both of them integrated as far as possible in the enviroment. The building has a longitudinal construction oriented from south to north following the river´s flow and the wooded promenade along the riverbank. The main idea was to make a visual tour that enables to look the landscape constantly. As we can see, the volume changes its direction in order to reach all the different views of the territory and to go over it.
In addition we have kept into account the features with which buildings for Alzheimer’s disease should meet. These features are: easy building with easy itineraries, with bright and wide spaces to wander and to walk. For the interior materials we try to design warm and comfortable spaces with textures and natural light to get therapeutic and invigorating buildings.

The importance of the materials: On the west facade, which looks at the river, the building has a skin of wooden slats that offers sun protection and helps to integrate the construction on the scenery. On the east facade which overlooks the village, the presence of powerful long walls closed off to the exterior gives an intimate image. The objective is to avoid windows in this facade for the purpose to open all spaces to the landscape.

PAESTUM_ARCHITECTURE V. 2011 with Anna, Giuliana D’Andria and Marta Mango
Further to my studies in the “Università degli studi di Salerno” (Italy) we developed several projects with different characters. One of them was the intervention in the surroundings of Paestum archeological site. In this academic work there were no statements or guidelines to follow. Each work group had to find the way to act on the site...

‌to wonder, to submerge, to get lost, to penetrate, to walk, to come into contact‌ To find the way to interact with the area we had to do a detailed reconnaissance of the territory, looking for the natural traces and typical symbols of the site (materials, permeability, historical and natural limits,‌). The main task was to discover the weak spots and to locate intervention points. We studied the entrances and approaching ways to the archeological site, discovering that there were three important arrival points: north by car, east by train and south by car and on foot. Our idea was to create, a visitor reception centerin each of these points, by understanding the architectural project as an instrument to examine the territory, the story and the culture of Paestum.Visitors would have to pass through one of the three entrances before going in the wall. Each project has a different structure but all of them have the same idea.

Here are some pictures of significant architectural projects in Andalucía (Spain) which were important sources of inspiration for our interventions. They have some common objectives as the importance of the landscape surrounding them. The projects: -Archi. Nieto y Sobejano: Museo de Medina Azahara en Córdoba (Spain) -Archi. Alberto Campo Baeza: Museo Arte Contemporáneo de Cádiz (Spain) -Archi. Alberto Campo Baeza: Museo de la memoria de Andalucía en Granada (Spain)

The northern visitor reception center is a promenade in spiral which lets the visitants discover the landscape little by little. It goes from the basement, where visitors leave their cars, to the second floor where is the museum. There people can get some information before visiting the ruins.
The train station is modified by a great bridge which helps visitors to cross over the tracks. It makes visitors follow the “decumano. While people are walking over it, they can also look around and enjoy the landscape.
STRATUS_Competition: Restoration Old Cement Factory Villaluenga de la Sagra (Toledo) LAFARGE Internship SAO Investments (Krakow, Poland)
For my Erasmus Placements in SAO Invetments, I was working at this competition. The objective of the owner was restoring the building to use it as museum, workshop and meeting place. Basing on this premise, we thought about creating an open and bright space, keeping the construction, the facades and the identity of the original building.

he main idea of this master plan was born from the connection of two pieces. One of them, the square piece, has a regular and compact planning, with residential buildings oriented all them from west to east. On the other hand, the long piece, has an irregular morphology with commercial, office and social buildings. We designed two perpendicular axis that divide the area in four parts. They are the two main streets. At the same time, are designed some secondary roads to organize little areas. To the East, across railway tracks, there is a big park. We tried to connect our area with the green zone by an elevate road which will be the main transversal street. Besides, we suggest for our east limit a green space that tries to be an extension of the big park before mentioned. In this way, our project is bathed by this longitudinal park that will be scattering at the same time that goes into the planed area.

Urban Plan_ Block “LOS REMEDIOS” Sevilla (Spain) ACHITECTURE IV. 2010
During the 3rd and 4rd years of my architectural studies, were developed some urban planning exercises in Seville. The presented proposal was developed in a block, where is located “The Polytechnic University School”of Seville. The new General Plan of Seville suggested to replace the university school by residential buildings. The way to act on the site was kind of funny. We considered the block as a solid which had to be transform in order to create a singular space that breaks the regular planning that surrounded the site. We ideated a diagonal axis that went through the block. This axis would be a pedestrian street and would organize the every building´s positions. Between them, there would be opened spaces to allow transversal permeability.

Longitudinal Section
In reference to opened spaces there are two sorts of them with different characteristics. One of them are the green zones which are next to the diagonal axis with a longitudinal planning. (They try to integrate our intervention with the bordering building) Secondly there is a pavement area that invites pedestrian to come into the new area, it is the connection with exterior. To define opened spaces are included some enclosing elements as a pergola, some trees, plants and urban furniture. Transversal DetailedSection

RESTORATION AND CONSERVATION_Main facade of St.Maria di Costantinopoli Convent in Salitto di Olevano, Italy ARCHITECTURE V. 2011
Photography Assemblage
At the University of Salerno, in Italy, I had the great opportunity to study some subjects about theory, history, techniques, methods and tools of conservation-restoration of the architectural heritage. Besides, I developed an academic work about the main facade of St.Maria di Costantinopoli convent in Salitto di Olevano, Italy. Firstly I had to look for the graphic and history information of the Convent. After that I made a detailed visual studio to analyze his state of degradation, construction techniques, and materials used. All this previous work was to find the intervention’s way to consolidate, rebuild and keep in good condition the facade without transforming his appearance.
