Theyoungaeronauticalengineersarespendingthree yearsbuildingtheplanewiththeaimtocompletethe projectbeforetheirGCSEs.
StudentsfromStBrigid’sCatholicPrimarySchool, Northfieldspentthenightsleepingoutinthegardento raisemoneytosupportpeoplewhohaveexperiencedor areatriskofhomelessnessinBirmingham.Thefundraisers–Matteo,Alfie,Millie,Maisie,Esme,Eloiseand Gipir–setouttocollect£250tosupportSIFAFireside butbeattheirtargetwithatotalto£1,500.Thegroupof Year6studentssetupaJustGivingpage,organisedthe camp-outandsoughtsponsorshipaspartoftheir SacramentofConfirmation.

BirminghamHippodromeTheatreTrusthasannouncedthatitschair, GlennHowellswillbesteppingdowninNovember.Glennbecamea trusteein2012andhasbeenchairsince2018,overseeingthe Hippodromeincreaseitsreachwithlocalcommunities.The organisation’sprogrammeofliveperformance,learningand participationandfestivalsreachesuptoamillionpeopleannually.
