Perfectly placed for the best of both town and country life The small town of Totton is situated just a few miles west of Southampton’s city centre and bordered by the River Test to the east and the New Forest to the west. Totton’s convenient location and abundance of local facilities make it a great place for families. There are several primary schools in easy reach along with two secondary schools (Testwood and Hounsdown) and Totton College sixth form in the town itself. The central shopping areas have a good range of shops including an ASDA Superstore, there’s a car boot and local market which runs every first Sunday in the month in the Memorial Car Park. The town’s historic attractions continue with Eling Tide Mill, one of the only tide mills in the world that is still producing flour using traditional methods that go back 900 years. If you prefer more outdoor pursuits you’ll find yourself spoilt for choice. Testwood Lakes Centre is a haven for wildlife and has a busy calendar of guided walks, events and activities throughout the year. There are several golf courses within a short drive (in Southampton, Romsey and Lyndhurst). And of course the New Forest National Park is right on the doorstep for scenic walks, exploring historic villages or sampling the local delights in the many pubs and restaurants. Totton’s transport links are very good, too. The town has its own railway station on the South Western main line to Southampton, London Waterloo, Bournemouth and Poole. Local bus companies provide services to Southampton, Cadnam, Hythe, Dibden and the nearby M27 motorway and A-road network offer fast access to the larger towns and cities of Bournemouth, Salisbury, Romsey, Winchester , Fareham and Portsmouth.

The New Forest National Park is right on the doorstep for scenic walks and exploring historic villages.

Directions From the centre of Totton proceed along the A36 (Salisbury Road) for approximately 1 mile and The Old Dairy can be found on the left hand side. Heading east on the M27 take Junction 2 and proceed for a short while taking the first exit toward Totton. On reaching the T junction turn left onto the A36 (Salisbury Road). Proceed for approximately 1 mile and at the large roundabout proceed straight across continuing along the A36. After approximately half a mile The Old Dairy can be found on the right hand side.
