Situated in Northwestern Montana, Glacier sits between the Great Plains and Rocky Mountains. It is widely recognized for its iconic park, Glacier National Park. The park offers over 700 miles of trails and endless views which bring in millions of visitors every year.

You’ll find a little of everything from glacial lakes to alpine meadows, waterfalls, lush forests, and more. Laken + Vincent Vincent and Laken met in Seaside, a beach along 30A in Florida. Vincent was down with five of his best buddies and Laken was down with her family for fall break. He was eating dinner with his boys at Bud and Alleys, a well-known restaurant, when they decided to catch a game at the upstairs bar shortly after. Little did he know his forever girl was about to walk in. Laken and Vincent had a few brief conversations and a double shot of tequila. That night, Vincent got Laken’s number and they planned a date for the next day. At the end of their first official date,Vincent dropped off Laken and they both promised to see each other again. That was the beginning of forever for the two.

Vincent and Laken planned to attend The Big Sky Festival in Montana because the two share a love of folk music.

He knew how much Laken loves the mountains, so he knew that Montana was the perfect place to propose. After a bit of research, Vincent decided to propose in Glacier National Park. He got in touch with Jennifer Mooney Weddings to handle the photography of the proposal and put some finishing touches on the day. They met Jennifer at the entrance to Glacier National Park on the first day of their trip, and Laken knew something was up. They stopped at a few iconic spots in the Park before hitting the final proposal spot at Logan’s Pass. With Laken situated on a giant rock with spectacular views, Vincent popped the question.

Lydia + Ryan To understand how Lydia and Ryan met, you have to understand all of the ways they did not meet. They attended the same university, were studying the same major and were even in the same club for their major. The only difference was that Lydia was in her undergraduate program while Ryan was in his graduate program. They would walk the same halls, talk to the same teachers and even use the same computer labs. Lydia and Ryan finally met on a school trip to Boca Raton, Florida where they instantly hit it off and have been together ever since.

In early November 2020, Lydia and Ryan planned a spontaneous trip to Rocky Mountain National Park the first weekend of December. However, they both were exposed to COVID-19 a week before they were supposed to leave. They ended up stuck in Nashville, with negative tests, and went on a hike at the Narrows of the Harpeth River. They were the only people on the hike and it was there where Ryan popped the question! Little did Lydia know, the spontaneous trip to the Rockies was planned right after Ryan bought the engagement ring and where he originally planned to propose.

SUNRISE NUPTIALS

They planned a sunrise ceremony at Glacier National Park on July 14th. Walking down the aisle at sunrise and seeing the faces of the people who mean so much to Lydia and Ryan made their day even more special. After the ceremony, their “reception” was an old-fashioned camp breakfast at Fish Creek Campground. They reserved three campsites near each other for their friends and family to camp and spend quality time together the week of the wedding. Being able to spend their wedding without having to worry about photos or seating arrangements was their favorite part of the entire wedding experience. They wanted to stay true to who they are as a couple and incorporated special family traditions into their day with those they love most in the world.

Kelsey + Parker Kelsey and Parker both grew up in Kansas City. They never knew each other growing up, but their parents became friends after they had moved away. Their moms thought that they would be the perfect match! At the time, Parker was living in Seattle, Washington and Kelsey was living in Whitefish, Montana. Parker was going on a motorcycle camping trip to Montana and set up a blind date. They hit it off immediately and Kelsey moved to Seattle about six months later. Their moms are pretty proud.

They went on a trip with a big group of friends to Kauai, Hawaii right before COVID-19 hit the world. It was an amazing trip: they rented a jeep, hiked to waterfalls, took a helicopter tour and lounged on the beach. On Kelsey and Parker’s last morning in Kauai, Parker proposed on their lanai. It was perfect and simple. The ring was something they had been shopping for together for months, a vintage piece from the 40’s.

Everything about their July 17 wedding day at The Nest on Swan River was perfect. The classic and simple elements of the day tied back into the natural beauty of the venue. Kelsey and Parker talk about their wedding, and always say it’s the best wedding either of them has ever been to. The small details plannned by Repeat Boutique Events & Design came together and were captured flawlessly by Amber Lynn Photography. They loved having friends and family come to celebrate and share special moments with them from all over the world.

Nicole + Kris Nicole and Kris began their love story in Seattle, Washington.

Nicole moved to complete her medical training as a gastroenterologist and Kris was stationed in Seattle by the Navy. They dated for two years before Kris proposed to Nicole on December 12, 2020 at the top of the tallest building in Seattle, Columbia Tower. Due to Nicole’s hectic schedule, changing COVID-19 restrictions and ring delays, this was the fourth proposal that Kris planned unbeknownst to Nicole.

They planned a wedding focused on the natural beauty of Montana for September 6th at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Nicole and Kris’ favorite moment of the day was the planned boat ride after the ceremony for pictures with just the wedding party. It was the perfect post-ceremony refreshment and created a moment for just the two of them to enjoy each other’s company surrounded by stunning mountain views.

Tyler + Rahul “Describe the worst date you’ve ever been on,” was the Hinge prompt that brought Tyler and Rahul together.

Tyler shared the story of a Tinder date she once went on with a man who told her he had seen five murders in his life, and he then brought another guy back to their table after a smoke break. Rahul matched with Tyler and responded with, “On our first date, you’ll have my undivided attention. Also, I have seen zero murders in my life.” They started dating seven months before COVID-19 really hit, so they have been inseparable and quarantined since their first date.

THE PROPOSAL

They decided to take a trip to Jackson Hole for Tyler’s birthday in January of 2021. They had the most perfect long weekend getaway planned, where Tyler had a detailed itinerary of all the fun things they would get to do. Rahul mentioned how much he wanted to do a sleigh ride through the National Elk Refuge just outside of Jackson. Tyler was a little annoyed because it was not on the itinerary, but agreed because Rahul was so excited. He booked a private sleigh ride and asked the driver to take them to a private spot where he proposed among the Grand Tetons and elk.

MEANINGFUL MOMENTS

After the loss of Tyler’s dad and with Rahul’s family unable to travel to the United States because of the pandemic, the couple decided to plan an eclectic and heartfelt elopement in Glacier National Park on October 5th. They chose to split their wedding budget down the middle with a special photography session with Jessica Billings Photography and the other half on renting out Whitefish Escapes for their closest friends and family to spend the weekend celebrating. Tyler and Rahul spent their wedding day celebrating meaningful moments and the start of their new life together.

Emilie + Stephen

Emilie and Stephen initially met in college at Iowa State University, but did not cross paths until much later when Emilie had a physical therapy internship in Stephen’s hometown. They reconnected and the rest is history. Emilie had her next internship in Kalispell where Stephen traveled frequently to visit her.

Glacier National Park is one of Emilie’s favorite places in the world, and is the place Emilie and Stephen first grew their relationship. They were married on October 9th in Des Moines, Iowa and planned a romantic vow exchange in Glacier National Park, captured by Meghan G Photography.
