ENGAGEMENTS
ALAINA + ANDY
When Alaina and Andy initially met during college neither of them were fond of the other. Ironically enough, the two reconnected years later and Alaina somewhat begrudgingly agreed to go on a date, thinking nothing would come of it. As fate would have it, the pair learned that they shared very similar values, interests and goals. The rest, as they say, is history. To propose, Andy asked Alaina to marry him in a perfectly private setting shared just between the couple.

ELIZABETH + GREG
High school sweethearts, Elizabeth and Greg met as seniors and never looked back. Three years after their first date on Christmas Day, Greg planned a surprise proposal while on a cabin getaway to McCall with the couple’s family and friends present. On a frozen lake, quite literally like something out of a Hallmark movie, Greg asked Elizabeth to marry him surrounded by rose petals and a picnic of blankets to warm up in.

MCCALL
It was February 2016 when Jami and Matthew serendipitously walked into Jami’s sorority sisters’ college home and caught each other’s eye. Shortly after, their first date started as a hike down to a waterfall with a hammock and ended in a sprint back in ankle-deep mud past angry cows at nightfall. “It was at this moment, I knew our life together would be one hell of an adventure!” Jami shares. An adventure, indeed, the years to follow took the couple around the world chasing music in the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Canada, and America, however, they still find plenty of time to chase their Corgis around the house when a sock is left unattended. In September 2021, nearly six years later, Jami and Matthew found themselves back in the United Kingdom for two more music festivals. In the company of their friends, the couple migrated to London to explore the city which led them to Buckingham Palace and the Horse Guard Parade with the famous London Eye in the background. Naturally, a photo was in order allowing for the perfect opportunity to propose. Before Jami knew it, Matthew was down on one knee asking her to join him on the biggest adventure yet. For their engagement photos, captured by Hannah Renee Photography, the couple channeled a vintage afternoon on the water at Lake Coeur d'Alene’s Kidd Island Bay.

As a couple who regularly spends their time together outdoors, it was no surprise that Nicole and Lafe met on a camping trip while attending the University of Idaho. “I had my eye on Lafe, aka the ‘cute guy with a truck’, and used this as my first excuse to talk to him,” Nicole confesses. Five years later, in February 2022, Nicole and Lafe were visiting Nicole’s family in Sun Valley. After a day of hitting the slopes at Bald Mountain, or Baldy as everyone calls it, the couple moseyed over to Roundhouse, perched atop the express gondola at 7,700 feet mid-mountain. Just as the two were getting their photo taken, out walked both of their families, some of whom traveled five hours for the surprise. At that moment, Lafe got down on one knee and asked Nicole to marry him.
BO + BLAKE
In 2016, Bo decided to sign up for the popular dating app, Hinge. Luckily after a few swipes, she found her match, Blake, but little did she know that he would one day become her husband. Fast forward to the spring of 2020, the duo moved across the country together to Idaho’s capital which led to a proposal along the Boise River Greenbelt. Surrounded by tree-dotted trails hugging the water’s edge, Bo walked toward a quiet spot near the river to admire the scenery as Blake pointed to something in the distance and bent down. “I thought he was picking up a bug, but when I turned around he was holding my dream ring. There was no one else around, it was just us and Mother Nature,” shares Bo. To give guests a sneak peek of their wedding day aesthetic, the couple documented their engagement downtown with Shaina KH Photography.

Escape into a world of timeless romance with a classic photo shoot inspired by a vintage Volkswagen Beetle and feminine florals. With the desire to create a spin on chic modernity Talie Boyle Photo and The White Antler embraced a laid-back and fun aesthetic. The off-white getaway vehicle is nothing short of euphoric outfitted with summer blooms and signage adding a touch of whimsy to enhance the overall feel for riding away in style.
Situated in the foothills along the Snake River, intimacy follows as you and your lover retreat to a private setting to declare your love in a way that is uniquely your own. The location was thoughtfully chosen for its simple postcard backdrop that evokes the soul yet provides minimal distractions from the raw, honest moments in between the ceremony and reception. An A-line silhouette structured of soft floral lace flounces with every move while the fitted sleeves are reminiscent of classic bridal fashion from the past.

VINTAGE MCCALL, MODERN VENUE
take a seat
Once you have finalized the details of your ceremony, it’s time to start planning the dinner party, otherwise known as the wedding reception. With so many choices to consider, from place settings and centerpieces to chair styles and linens, we can understand why designing the reception tables may feel a little overwhelming. However, similar to your invitation suite, your tablescape should ideally reflect who you are as a couple and elevate the overall guest experience. In hopes to take the aesthetic to the next level, this fabulous team of experts beautifully curated four unique settings to accommodate your Rocky Mountain “I do.”
In an era of whimsical, floral-focused themes, how could we possibly not include a dreamy secret garden party reception? Take a dazzling trip down the rabbit hole into Wonderland with this fanciful fête captured by Radion Photography. A pearl white overlay atop pale blue linen truly elevates the enchantment as three overgrown floral arrangements with a subtle hint of blue lined the tabletop to create a modern indoor garden.
With hospitality at the heart of White Barn Weddings, the rustic atmosphere balanced an organic moodiness with shades of deep cranberry, classic taupe and rich hues of rust orange. Instead of sourcing vessels and creating centerpieces, Posies Floral Design completely transformed the tablescape with a growing floral runner of greenery punctuated with bold-colored blooms. The inclusion of leather accents, black dinnerware and wooden chargers and chairs refute the common misconception that masculine elements are meant for outdoor elopements.
The epitome of fresh, fun and flirty has taken a seat. Drawing inspiration from quite the opposite of what is considered traditional, the creatives threw the wedding rule book out the window and designed an unexpected, retro-esque tablescape full of color. The palette was prominently purple and pink, reminiscent of a girly girl’s dream party filled with scalloped details and plenty of trendy charm. Velvet chairs from Blush Creek Specialty Rentals provided a comfortable yet chic setup for guests to sit back, relax and enjoy themselves.
Shades of dusty rose create a sense of timeless elegance where femininity and romance are at the forefront of the wedding day. The tablescape gracefully translated to the ambience, with no such detail overlooked or left unsaid. Stationery by Something Lettered Designs was exquisitely complemented by textural tableware from The Little Gem Details and delicate lace linens and smooth velvet napkins from Nüage Designs.

LoveMatch
Nestled in the heart of the Treasure Valley, The Vintage Rose offers a dream-like setting situated on nearly four acres of lush grounds located just outside of Boise. The storybook aesthetic came to life through the lens of photographer Jessica Roman and planner Caitlyn Larson of Foxx and Fern. To set the scene, a team of creatives came together to infuse a little of London’s high society atmosphere as portrayed in the Regency-era of Bridgerton.
Among Weeping Willows and boastful grapevines, the al fresco family-owned venue provided a very secret garden party allure. To elevate the romance to the next level, Sawtooth Floral Company adorned the ceremonial space with feminine arrangements of garden roses, french tulips, with hints of greenery, all in shades of French raspberry, mauve, rose pink, gold and dove.
Following the couple’s exchange of “I do’s,” the bride and groom can be seen wandering around the property where love is visibly in the air. With nods to romanticism, an ethereal flowing gown from Sarabeth Bridal, seasonal cocktails garnished with delicate flowers and swirling calligraphy are an absolute must for the special day. Of course, end the evening on a sugary note with mini dark chocolate cakes layered between mascarpone buttercream frosting or opt for something more extravagant such as a three-tiered confection.

Inspired by the idea of an elevated and ethereal elopement, the vision evolved into an editorial that allowed the imagery to paint a portrait of two souls coming together in a celestial union, surrounded by the raw and untamed wilderness of the Sawtooth Mountains. Photographer, Madison Maltby, is inspired by nostalgia and timeless beauty which directly translates to her work. With an eye for impressive details, moments of unscripted connection captured on camera will transport you back in time through tangible photos.
As the golden sun sets over the jagged peaks, the couple frolics among secluded valleys where the meadows are alive with color. Their love echoing through the mountain pass. The bride’s flowing gown billows in the crisp air, while the groom’s tailored tan suit lends a touch of relaxed elegance to the wild terrain. Soft and sophisticated, a bouquet in shades of blush, ivory and beige creates a stunning visual impact against the rugged backdrop.

REAL WEDDINGS
Stacie + Slater
It was clearly love at first sight when Slater’s friend showed him a photo of Stacie on Instagram during a surf trip on a remote island off the coast of Indonesia. With a little courage he decided to give it a digital shot and messaged the cute girl. Shortly after, Stacie followed Slater back and the two began exchanging conversation over social media. As individuals who have a shared interest in adventure and passion for the outdoors, it seemed only fitting that their first date consisted of lunch and a hike followed by catching the sunset at a beach in San Diego, California. The natural chemistry was undoubtedly present and soon led to an exclusive relationship. While the couple saw a future together, Slater surprised Stacie with a picturesque proposal on a mountainside overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Maui, Hawaii, where Slater was raised. To top it off, Slater repurposed Stacie’s late father’s gold wedding band and had it melted down into her engagement ring to pop the question.
Though Stacie and Slater were engaged on an island and now call Hawaii home, they returned to Slater’s family ranch for their summer nuptials. In 1948, the groom’s great, great grandfather purchased 50 acres of land in a canyon tucked off the backside of Bald Mountain where he built five cabins that still stand today. “Slater’s parents, aunts, and uncles have all been married on the family property. We were destined to do the same! It was so special,” Stacie shares. With a connection to Hawaiian culture, the couple infused some tradition into their Western setting with custom Leis that were made in Maui and flown to the Rockies for the bride and groom to present to each other during the ceremony. Instead of a veil, Stacie accessorized her bridal look with a delicate flower crown then later swapped it out for a neutral cowboy hat. Admittedly fitting for the reception were a mechanical bull and the cherished moments of sharing memories with their guests.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“On your wedding day, remember to have a moment together where you step back, look around and take it all in. The day goes by in the blink of an eye, so savoring that moment and encapsulating it all into your memory is so special!”

Michelle + Tod
Shortly after falling in love, Tod decided it was time to take the next step in his and Michelle’s relationship. On Thanksgiving Day as their family sat around the table expressing gratitude for the things that meant the most to them, Tod patiently waited his turn to ask Michelle to marry him. The couple chose to exchange wedding vows on the waterfront of Lake Coeur d’Alene where a pink-inspired aesthetic served as the overall vision.
After Michelle and Tod said, “I do” on the Lakeview Terrace, they invited their loved ones for cocktails, dinner and dancing. Guests were greeted by a gorgeous grass wall that included glasses of champagne along with red and white wine to get the party started. From there, everyone found their seats on a custom built piece overflowing with pretty floral installations in various shades of pink and orange.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“Hire a wedding planner. It allows you to be invested in the planning as much as you'd like and relieves so much stress as to what needs to be done by what time. And make sure you vibe and have a good working relationship with each of your vendors. We actually changed photographers before the wedding because it was so stressful when I realized I did not vibe with the first photographer, especially since it was really important to me to be able to look back on these photos and have them bring back all my fun memories, so make sure you trust your vendors. And lastly, budget wise, pick and choose certain things that are really important to you and go all in on those things, for me it was my rose petal aisle.”

Samantha + Tyler
Samantha and Tyler met in Boston, Massachusetts nearly a decade ago on an ordinary weekday. “I worked with a college friend of Tyler’s and he happened to meet us out one night after work. My coworker encouraged me to go on a date with him and we have been together ever since!” Samantha shares. After five years of dating, Tyler set up a foolproof ruse that made the long-awaited moment both surprising and surreal. As Samantha arrived at her friend’s home and walked toward the backyard she was welcomed by a romantic oasis of lights and flowers. “My closest friends were inside the house watching as Tyler proposed and came out to celebrate with us afterward,” Samantha says. Being from Boise, Samantha always thought she would marry in Idaho, so as the couple began envisioning their wedding day, the resort town situated on the southern shore of Payette Lake was a dream location especially for those who had never traveled West.
The ceremony took place at a private residence that felt as though you stumbled upon a whimsical cottagecore scene from a storybook. Between perfect tree coves and the lakeside backdrop, Samantha and Tyler shared personal vows. “We exchanged private vows the morning of our wedding then chose certain vows to say during the ceremony,” the couple explains. An abundance of enchantment and pastel details guaranteed a pretty aesthetic packed with fresh florals in pink and purple hues and an escort card display that has us holding onto summer.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES

McKenna + Peyton
As a creative bride, McKenna says in another life she would absolutely join the world of wedding planning following her allpink mountain chic nuptials located in the Wood River Valley just outside of Ketchum and Sun Valley. With the help of Events by A&C, the retired NCAA gymnast and fashion blogger’s dream day to husband, Peyton, became a fabulous reality. As captured by photographer, Halsey Pierce, the couple set the tone for an intimate yet over-the-top detail-oriented celebration where personality and love were at the center of every decision.
McKenna and Payton’s ceremony took place on private property situated at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains. A simple wooden arch embellished with garden roses and baby’s breath framed the bride and groom while the Rockies served as the backdrop. With a guest list of 34, an eclectic mix of soft seating provided an elevated atmosphere and allowed everyone to experience the best seat in the house. After the newlyweds tied the knot, McKenna slipped into a second ensemble for the first dance as husband and wife to Toploader’s “Dancing in the Moonlight.” “We went a little non-traditional with a more upbeat song and it was so us. Both of us claim to not be dancers and are probably the last ones you'll see hitting the dance floor, but Peyton surprised me by suggesting dance classes and it ended up being my favorite moment,” McKenna says.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“My advice is that a wedding should not change your relationship. It should not feel different to be married and you shouldn’t be nervous to get married. It should be a celebration of how much you love each other and for the life you have already built together and will continue to build.”

Erin + Jay
Sometimes the perfect partner for you is who you least expect it to be. Erin and Jay are proof that life is full of surprises especially when you embrace the unforeseen. Ironically enough, Erin had become friendly with Jay’s close-knit group of friends before the pair matched on a dating app. However, when they met in person at a music event the interaction was exceptionally awkward. Fortunately, a few months later Jay reconnected with Erin and she agreed to a proper first date. The result? A couple in the making. After nearly four years together, Jay planned a camping trip with just the two of them and popped the ultimate question. With no cell phone service, Erin and Jay soaked in those sweet moments of intimacy as fiancés. Since Erin is a photographer and works in the wedding industry, the couple decided to approach planning differently.
The ceremony took place on a quiet Thursday afternoon within the Big Hole Mountains where Erin and Jay exchanged vows in front of 40 friends and family. Two days later, the newly married couple hosted a celebration at their home beneath the Tetons. “We opted to break the days up, so we could be present for our union and celebrate the community that has made us who we are and supported our love,” explains the bride and groom. The sentiment extended far beyond ordinary preparations leading up to the wedding. Erin and her mother, who drew on her background as a botanist, joined forces to grow, forage and dry a majority of the florals for the event, excluding the bouquet, wristbands, ceremony installation, and main centerpieces. Once a dream nurtured for so long between the mother-daughter duo had finally become a reality, and the beauty exceeded even their wildest imaginations. With the help of local vendors, Erin and Jay’s property was transformed into a bohemian backyard oasis painted in a neutral palette of copper, yellow and green.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“I cannot recommend investing in people with experience, enough! Having that knowledge is such a grace, especially in the week-of. I absolutely took on more design and planning than I would suggest to most couples, but only because I do this for a living and was able to plan out my time to work on everything in advance. Having a team that has backup plans, and a great clear schedule is key, and giving yourself the time! Having seen it in my work, I knew I wanted to make the days as relaxed as possible, so we didn’t feel crazy and could actually enjoy it! Hiring those experienced and incredible vendors to help makes it so you can truly take a step back the week-of, which is something I cannot put enough value and emphasis on!”

Sarah + Greg
Sarah and Greg met while studying at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in the heart of New York State’s Finger Lakes Region. With eight years under their belt, Greg proposed in December of 2021 at the end of a pier complete with panoramic views of downtown Manhattan in the distance. Right away, the newly engaged couple knew they wanted to host their wedding on a private homestead in Sun Valley where Sarah’s parents reside. Since the bride has a background in interior design, she approached planning with the same mindset; an aesthetically pleasing inspired event. The vision effortlessly came to fruition with whimsical florals and a mood that felt equally casual as it was fun.
At the ceremony itself Sarah and Greg were married in a serene setting by a dear friend who officiated the wedding while Sarah’s sister and childhood companion sang and her future brother-in-law performed a reading. Reflecting on the entire experience, the couple shares that being able to show their closest family and friends such a special and beautiful place was a memory they will hold on to forever. “Montana captured everything so wonderfully, and seeing the photos remind us of the joy that everyone felt throughout the weekend,” Sarah says.

“Try to enjoy the process as much as possible! It’s inherently stressful, but securing vendors that you enjoy working with will make all the difference in the world!”
Taylor + Peter
On what seemed like an ordinary rainy day in Seattle, Washington, Peter was determined to go ahead with his plans to propose to Taylor during a romantic date night on the Kirkland waterfront despite the gray and wet weather in the forecast. Right before the couple arrived in Kirkland, the clouds began to part, revealing a sliver of bright orange and pink peeking through. The elusive, beautiful Seattle sunset had decided to make an appearance, just as Peter had hoped for. As they admired the view of Lake Washington, Peter reached for Taylor’s hand and whispered, “I can't wait any longer.” With those words spoken aloud, he got down on one knee and asked Taylor to marry him. Taylor, of course, said, “YES!” After the proposal, getting married on Priest Lake, surrounded by the mile-high mountains and near endless cedar, fir and tamarack forests, was a no-brainer. “The lake holds a lot of importance to my family. We have had a house there since my dad was young and I grew up going every summer. It was also the first place Peter came on a family trip the year we started dating,” Taylor shares.
Nestled deep below the crest of the Selkirk Mountains, the couple wanted to curate a full weekend experience and incorporate activities they knew their 135 guests would enjoy, from a golf scramble with breakfast to an evening welcome party and late night pizza to refuel from the dance floor, the festivities were nothing short of spectacular. “Hill’s Resort offered a backdrop and amenities unlike any other venue we considered. Our friends and family were able to rent cabins and stay on-site, and we loved that it would provide a place for our guests to unplug and experience everything the lake had to offer while celebrating,” Taylor explains. Modern simplicity was the vision for the wedding day, though, a color scheme of green, black, and white were conceived to compliment the natural setting and feel like a formal event among the rustic woody landscape.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“We read a piece of advice that really helped guide us through the wedding planning process: pick your top 3-5 most important can’t-live-withouts that are important to you both. Rather it be the photographer, food, DJ, invites, etc., stack rank them and then reflect on that list. It’s easy to get caught up on each individual detail or decision, but in the end, no one will remember some of those smaller things that seem big at the time.”

Amber + Matthew
Although it took traveling across the country to meet, Amber and Matthew, who are originally from Southern California, met during their first year of college in Massachusetts. From that moment on the pair was inseparable and continued their education in Arizona before settling down in Idaho. After four years of dating, Matthew proposed on Christmas Day in Newport Beach, California. “While we were walking towards the water Matthew got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I looked around and surprisingly saw my sister taking pictures. Everyone knew and kept the surprise!” Amber shares. With a myriad of on-site locations and overnight accommodations, the couple chose Sixty Chapel. Almost immediately after, Amber and planner, Alex Owens, jumped into the bride’s vision of an earthy and elegant rustic wedding.
Inspired by a rust and terracotta color palette, organic details naturally emerged throughout the idyllic ceremony setting. The couple were married in front of a wooden arbor built by the groom himself. At the reception, it was especially important to Amber and Matt that their loved ones felt taken care of. A mobile coffee cart served espresso beverages and hot chocolate, so guests could sip on something tasty to stay warm. At dusk, fire pits provided a cozy ambience for the outdoor celebration along with blankets and a late-night snack from the local saloon.

GLAMOROUS GOWNS
From a young age Allison Jadallah, owner of The Manor House, has been captivated by fashion and the excitement of dressing up. Her passion only intensified when she and her best friend simultaneously started planning their weddings, dedicating countless hours to exploring gown collections. The journey immersed her in the world of bridal fashion, and before long, an opportunity to acquire a bridal business arose. Allison, of course, seized the chance wholeheartedly, marking the beginning of her adventure in the wedding industry. Unlike most boutiques, The Manor House is fully private, meaning brides get the entire place to themselves. In turn, this allows for a more tailor-made shopping experience and focuses exclusively on the bride and her entourage. “Shopping for a wedding dress isn’t like shopping for just another evening gown. This is something you will remember forever. Take the time to experience the moment and soak it in. I promise you won’t regret it,” Allison shares.
The Lakia gown, designed by the renowned Ines Di Santo, is a glamorous masterpiece that captures the essence of modern romance and unconventional elegance. This stunning gown is a testament to Ines Di Santo’s unparalleled craftsmanship and her ability to create designs that leave a lasting impression. The A-line silhouette features a fitted bodice that gracefully accentuates the bride’s figure, while delicate straps drape into a tulle watteau train.

EDITH
The hallmark of the Edith gown lies in its exquisite lace detailing. Ines Di Santo showcases her mastery of design through intricate lacework that exudes femininity and sophistication. The shape gently hugs the bride’s curves, creating a flattering silhouette that will make her feel truly exceptional on the special day. In addition to the gown, a textured overskirt such as Fleur is jaw-droppingly gorgeous and adds its own touch of whimsy.

ROMINA
The Romina gown is an extraordinary creation that combines contemporary design elements with artistic flair, resulting in a bridal ensemble that is both unique and breathtakingly beautiful. What truly sets this ball gown apart is its asymmetrical hand-painted floral motifs on the overskirt which evoke a sense of whimsical garden romance. The pleated construction provides volume and movement to the skirt, allowing it to gracefully cascade with every step the bride takes.
MANON
In an era of royal wedding fashion, Ines Di Santo delivered a regal long sleeve, high-neckline lace gown. Manon is a perfect choice for brides who desire modesty, refinement, and romance. Crafted with sheer illusion fabric, the design is ethereal and feminine while still providing coverage. The A-line silhouette is universally flattering, gracefully skimming over the waist and hips and falling into a full skirt.

A modern mini is a playful and flirtatious design that exudes youthful charm and feminine allure. The Lapis dress has a strapless sweetheart neckline to accentuate the bride’s décolletage and show off her shoulders and arms, while the corset-style bodice cinches the waist and lends itself to being simply structured. Last but certainly not least, the tiered ruffle skirt keeps the dress visually interesting and captivating.

Blending contemporary style with Old Hollywood glamor, Badgley Mischka never ceases to amaze us, especially with the Frankie gown. An absolute stunner, this ball gown is clean and classic featuring detachable pouf sleeves, a modern scoop neckline, and a natural waist seam to flatter your figure. From the back, a deep Basque-inspired waistline, architectural seaming and covered buttons create a sumptuous effect. Perhaps, the best part? She has pockets.
