Jade + Korbyn Jade and Korbyn were introduced by some mutual friends. Right after they met, Korbyn was in a freak accident and Jade happened to be the one to take care of him. While Korbyn was on bed rest, their relationship skyrocketed, and after three years of dating they sealed the deal. They planned a bohemian, earthy elopement at Copper Nickel Events in Ogden, Utah. Their wedding day was lighthearted and full of magic. The start of their forever was marked by sweet family and friends, a magical sparkler exit and special moments shared between Jade and Korbyn when Jade walked down the aisle.

Regan + Marcus Regan and Marcus met when they were 18 and 19. Regan saw Marcus a few times in different social situations, and always thought he was cute. Marcus happened to start coaching high school basketball with Regan’s brother-in-law and the rest of their relationship was history from there! Five years later, Marcus planned an adventure for Regan. They drove around Cache Valley and went to a few of their favorite local spots. They finally went up a trail at the mouth of Logan Canyon and looked over the valley. Marcus told Regan to find a good rock for them to throw over the edge of the canyon, and while they were searching, Marcus yelled, “I found one!” She turned around and there he was on one knee with the ring. Their April wedding day at the Vineyards at Mt. Naomi Farms was simple with rustic details. They incorporated a knot tying ceremony where the officiant wrapped rope around their hands and a knot formed when they pulled their hands apart. Regan and Marcus chose this special representation of their marriage and loved adding something special and unique to their ceremony.

WHY THE ROCKIES?
We were both raised in Cache Valley, Utah. We sit in a valley surrounded by the beautiful mountains. It felt right to get married somewhere with a view of the mountains we love so much and we wanted our guests from out of town to take in the views!

Ashley + Davin Ashley’s roommate, Madison, was engaged to Davin’s roommate, Micah. They wanted to introduce Davin and Ashley, so they set up a game night so Davin could meet Ashley because he didn’t want to start off with a blind date. They got along really well and Davin asked her on a date. They kept going on more dates, and the rest is history, as they say! Ashley loves wildflowers and nature, so Davin spent hours researching where to find wildflowers blooming at just the right time in south-central Idaho. They took a day trip out to the spot he found, stopping at a couple of pretty places along the way, and went to take pictures in the middle of a field of beautiful purple and blue camas lilies. He set up a video without Ashley knowing, and came and proposed in the middle of the wildflowers. They danced to one of her favorite songs “Open Skies” by The National Parks Band. It was perfect!

Ashley + Logan Ashley and Logan were spending the weekend at Logan’s family cabin when they went on a hike and ranger ride. At the time, they brought binoculars to look for animals on their hike. They got to the top of the peak, and Logan asked Ashley to look way far out on the mountainside. To her surprise, there was a big sign saying “Will you marry me Ashley?” that she saw through the binoculars. After reading it, she looked behind her to see Logan on his knee and the ring box open. The wedding planning process was overall very relaxing. Ashley had heard horror stories when planning a wedding, however, her experience was different. She was lucky enough to have her super-mom in charge of the scheduling and catering of everything. They planned a backyard wedding two months after their engagement, so the short planning time was seamless because of their amazing friends and family.

ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“In our opinion, one of the most important things is to laugh and just have fun. There isn’t a day yet to go by where we don’t laugh and goof around with one another. Look for ways to praise, serve, and love each other as much as you can.”

inspiration
Be Steel My Heart This cozy bridal inspiration at The 5th Floor was brought to life by Olive & Sage Floral for a one-on-one mentoring session with White Fox Floral. These local northern Utah floral designers brought to life the feeling of when the seasons change from summer to fall. Their inspiration came directly from when the air becomes brisk, the earth begins to dry and leaves start to change colors.

anniversary
Emme + Tyler Emme and Tyler have been together for four years and married for almost two. The two met at a friend’s party and haven’t stopped talking since. One of their first trips as a couple was to Missoula, Montana where they added a lock with their initials on it to the city’s bridge. Flash forward two years later and Tyler proposed to Emme on that bridge in front of the lock with their initials.
