BEGINNINGS
CARMEN + WILL JACKSON
Situated at the intersection of Broadway and Cache, Carmen and Will frolicked around Jackson Town Square for their engagement photos captured by Adrian Wayment. The couple first met at a bar in San Diego, California, where they were both visiting for a weekend trip. While the two only interacted for a short amount of time that evening, the chemistry between them was undeniable. After returning to their respective homes, Carmen and Will spoke every day until a planned visit to see each other in North Carolina. After a year of dating long distance, Will popped the question during an intimate date night.

Ellie and Jadden have a classic small-town love story. While the two have known each other since childhood, their romance was a slow burn until they graduated high school and started officially dating. Four years later, Jadden popped the question in the couple’s home on a quiet, cozy evening. “I never thought I would get to marry him. I’m so blessed!” exclaims the bride-to-be.

While Cassidy and Daultyn might have been secretly crushing on each other in high school, the two kept it cool and remained friends. After graduating they went their separate ways, but much like the saying goes, ‘home is where the heart is’ proved to be true. Two years later in September 2022, Daultyn got down on one knee and proposed during a Cody Johnson concert as he sang “Nothin’ On You.” For their engagement session, Elsica Photography captured the couple exactly as they are, playful at heart and deeply in love.

NATALIE + TANNER
In true western fashion, Tanner planned to pop the question during a cattle branding, but when Natalie showed up late to the event he quickly turned to “Plan B”. With the ring still hidden in his boot and not noting any suspicions from his soon-to-be fiancé, Tanner asked Natalie if she would grab him a beer from the cooler as they mingled with their friends. Right there, as she turned around Tanner was down on one knee, this time asking if she would marry him.
Engagement
Photographer: Lacey Dale Photography | laceydalephotography.com Ring: Shane Co. | shaneco.comCouples who workout together, stay together. Somewhere between sets and water breaks, Julie and Jesse met at their shared workplace gym. A handwritten note, matching black attire and music by Rüfüs Du Sol and Christian Löeffler were also involved in the meet cute encounter. The pair almost immediately became best friends and found solace and encouragement in each other during their own personal challenges. As time passed, the friendship flourished into a deep bond that exceeded what the two ever imagined a partnership could be. Not only did Jesse check all of Julie’s boxes, but he possessed a certain je ne sais quoi. With a love for the ages, Jessie proposed a year and a half later on a hike at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, just before a Rüfüs Du Sol concert. To document the momentous occasion, the couple’s Uber driver assumed the role of photographer. Twenty four hours later, Julie and Jesse were married in the Denver Courthouse followed by a private vow exchange among the urban oasis of Denver Botanic Gardens. Although the nuptials were authentically true to them, Julie and Jesse ultimately chose to remember this important time in their lives with a snapshot of photographs captured by Kayleigh Rust in the Bighorn Basin where Julie grew up riding horses, finding what she once called dinosaur bones and picking wildflowers in the Rocky Mountain region throughout her childhood. “This very place is where we began to realize the depth of our love and common goals for building a life together,” shares the couple.

WHERE MODERN MEETS THE WEST
A JACKSON STATE OF MIND
Nestled beneath the mountains of Jackson Hole in Teton Village, just steps away from the iconic aerial tram, a boutique hotel and alpine club, Caldera House, sets a new standard of saying, “I do” in modern sophistication. Planner and stylist, Vida Events, closely collaborated with photographer, Diana Edlinger Studios, whose focus was to capture moments of deep connection between two lovers becoming one. The color palette was intentionally minimal showcasing neutrals with a splash of navy blue including the invitation suite by Laura Hooper Design House.
Elegant and simple, from the wedding attire to the tablescape, the bride stunned in a modest gown made from crepe featuring a square neckline with nude yoke and relaxed short sleeves. Her statement accessories added the perfect touch to an already polished yet unmistakably cool look. A thoughtfully bare reception setting adorned with subtle accents and textural elements draws your eyes in without feeling overwhelmed against the backdrop of ruggedly pristine terrain.
The natural chemistry of the newlyweds unfolds as they finish their day with a celebratory toast of signature champagne; Veuve Clicquot, while incorporating their wildest dreams. On top of Snow King Mountain, with Wyoming’s wide open spaces serving as an endless adventure, experience the first taste of married life in a 1985 G-wagon.

on the ranchRomance
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Wyoming lies a rural town that is rich in cowboy history. While Dubois is home to its fair share of guest ranches, 3 Spear Ranch is a 1,200 acre boutique ranch and resort for those seeking an intimate retreat rooted in nature. With eight log-style cabins at the mouth of a canyon, 3 Spear Ranch invites guests to stay and connect with the nostalgia of the Old West as you celebrate one of the most special days of your life. Planned by LOBA Events and photographed by Adrian Wayment, the inspiration behind this Western editorial with an elegant twist exudes how romance in the Rockies can look and feel.
Inside the venue’s authentic homestead, a tablescape that is romantic, feminine and traditional takes center stage. The table is topped with a lace embroidered linen and dressed with an abundance of blush pink blooms by Little Comet Flower Co., vintage gold candlesticks, and taper candles. Each place setting is complete with a modern starburst embossed charger plate featuring a gold painted rim, white china plates adorned with blue, pink, and yellow florals from the 1990s, and high gloss gold polish flatware boasting traditional design and cut-out handles. The final touch? A custom paper menu designed to mimic the pastel palette and farm-to-table experience.
An Americana meets bohemian bride captures our hearts in Daughters of Simone. Deeply romantic, French corded lace, a fitted bodice with underwire and boning, ruffled detailing along the bust, and detachable unlined sleeves make a name for itself as the ‘Ren’ gown. Her groom sports an earth-toned ensemble in a mod, light tan suit with a Succor Creek Picture Jasper bolo tie.
Sweeping views of the Wind River Valley and Absaroka Mountain Range bestow a picturesque backdrop for a first look or portraits as newlyweds. Enjoy a moment together and allow your emotions to run free without the worry of anyone watching.
Later in the evening, after swaying to a first dance song and cutting into an ombré creation from Windy Woman Cakes, live in the moment as the fun really begins to unfold. Whether you are gathering around the head table, cozying up to the fire, playing a game of pool, or using skis for synchronized shots of whiskey, these are the memories you will remember most.

VENDORS
with Wyoming wedding planner, Laura McCutchen
Everyone knows that your vendor team can have a significant impact on the flow of your wedding day, and yet, in Wyoming, it can be difficult to identify top wedding vendors Some don’t advertise, others don’t maintain an online presence, and many rely on word-of-mouth to book their next wedding
This is where an experienced, wellconnected wedding planner, like Laura McCutchen of Forever West Weddings & Events, becomes your greatest asset McCutchen has found the best vendors for your Wyoming wedding; here are just a few of her top recommendations
Venue Invitations
Wyoming is full of stunning venues, but for McCutchen, these two stand out: Diamond Cross Ranch in Jackson Hole, and The Brinton Museum in Sheridan “Diamond Cross Ranch is always a stunner,” she said “The view of the Tetons is to die for, and I love that they now have the cabins adjacent to the property for my couples and their guests to rent ” Closer to her home base, in Sheridan, McCutchen said she loves The Brinton Museum for its unique features like its collection of rare artifacts and art from the American west, sweeping views of the big horn mountains, and historic ranch house
Photographer
Though the Cowboy State is home to many talented wedding photographers, one of McCutchen’s top picks is actually a Utah-based photographer. Ashley Teresa Photography, a natural light and film photographer, has an amazing ability to capture emotions and preserve and fleeting moments in time
Rentals
Decor and rentals can completely transform a wedding design, and according to McCutchen, Linden House does them best Located just over Teton Pass into Idaho, Linden House travels to any venue in Wyoming and sources their unique tabletop and accent pieces from antique stores, local businesses, and custom collaborations “I’m constantly impressed with Lindsy's dedication to her clients,” McCutchen said, “if she can’t find the type of decor you’re looking for, she’ll work with local artisans to create it from scratch You can’t beat that level of service ”
From western chic to classic, McCutchen said Montana invitation designer, Summit & Sage, can do it all “Alex’s designs are always high quality and thoughtfully curated, and will perfectly set the tone for your event,” she said.
Advice for RMB Couples
Whether you hire McCutchen’s favorite vendors or not, her cardinal word of advice when selecting wedding vendors is this: “Don’t simply take someone’s word for it Whether it’s another vendor or a friend who makes the recommendation, it’s always best to interview the vendor to ensure you are compatible, look at their past work, and review their contract diligently ”
This, McCutchen said, is exactly why wedding planners are invaluable they represent their couples above all else, and will always give you recommendations that are in the best interest of you and your dream wedding day
REAL WEDDINGS
Maddy + Kyler
While the first year of college can be a major transition from high school, Maddy and Kyler hit the jackpot when they met as freshman. “We lived in the same dorm hall, shared mutual friends and had a few classes together,” Maddy shares. The two quickly became extremely close and the rest, as they say, is history. Seven years later, Kyler planned a day of cross-country skiing in the Bighorn Mountains on Christmas Eve. With a fresh blanket of snow creating a magical winter wonderland, the couple stopped to take a photo with the camera’s timer. Without missing a step, Kyler got down on one knee and popped the question. Maddy and Kyler chose to enjoy their post-engagement bliss for one year before starting the wedding planning process. Once the time neared, they leaned on each other and Laura McCutchen of Forever West Wedding & Events to create a seamless spring fête at a private ranch in the state they love so dearly.
The nuptials were painted in a neutral boho color palette and decorated with lush greenery, delicate wildflowers and wooden details. For the outdoor occasion, it was only fitting that natural light and film photographer, Ashley Teresa, captured the couple’s special day. After sharing heartfelt notes and becoming husband and wife, Maddy and Kyler, welcomed 130 guests to a tented reception setting immersed in nature. The elegantly rustic atmosphere included a horse trailer that had been converted into a mobile bar, a delectable street-style fusion menu and ceramic pottery dinner plates handmade by the groom.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“Plan your wedding how you want to. Don't worry about trying to please your guests. We also highly recommend a day-of wedding coordinator. It is so nice to have someone on top of the schedule during the day, so you don't have to worry about where to be and when.”

Andrea + Terence
After a proposal on the cliffs of El Potrero Chico, an internationally renowned rock climbing paradise in the Mexican state of Nuevo León, Andrea and Terence were set on incorporating something grand for their nuptials. With a summer elopement on their minds, it soon became an easy decision that a ceremony among the Grand Tetons would guarantee incredible views as well as accommodate the couple’s shared passion for climbing. On a Monday morning, the soon-to-be spouses started their day together like they had so many times before. Keeping each moment intentional, they ventured on a serene hike to pick alpine wildflowers for Andrea’s bouquet, drank coffee at a beautiful bed and breakfast and slipped into their wedding attire.
Perched on top of a hill just outside of the national park, Andrea and Terence, exchanged genuine vows and promises at the Wedding Tree. A Jackson Hole gem with craggy, snow-capped peaks of the Teton Range towering above. Later that evening, the newlyweds posed for sun-soaked portraits in the valley captured by Laura Powers Photo as a tangible keepsake of the memories made.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“For couples planning a wedding - congratulations! It is an incredible voyage and sacred experience. I encourage all couples to explore what marriage really means to them, and write it down together. When making decisions because there will be a million of them, using that interpretation of marriage as a guiding light will save so much unnecessary worry! There are so many options, and so many details, deciding on a big picture together feels as though you can truly tackle anything together.”

Maggie + Brady
After attending Boston University and living life in the fast lane in New York City, New York, Maggie relocated back home to Minnesota to join her family’s business. Meanwhile, Brady was working, living and earning his MBA in Minneapolis. Within weeks of moving to the Midwest, the two matched on the dating app, The League. The first date was a total success, so much so that the pair planned to meet again for a second, third and fourth time all within one week. It was clear the connection was natural and undeniable. Nearly two years later, the couple spent a week traveling down the coast of California, starting in Napa and ending in Santa Barbara for Maggie’s birthday. During their stay in Carmel-by-the-Sea, they wandered to an overlook where views of Big Sur stretched to their left and Pebble Beach lay to their right. In that picture-perfect setting, Brady got down on one knee and asked Maggie to marry him.
Inspired by a special visit at a Western dude ranch with family, Maggie and Brady knew they wanted a mountain wedding with plenty of activities and places to explore. After considering all of their options in the Rockies, the couple ultimately chose Jackson. With 67 acres entirely theirs for the weekend, Antelope Trails Ranch harnessed the spellbinding beauty and charm they desired. On the morning of the wedding, Mother Nature intervened and dictated the need for a rain plan. While never an easy decision, the result created a stunning creekside ceremony under a canvas pole tent. “The fragrant smell of flowers and sounds of the creek, beneath the tent, added to the magic of the entire ceremony!” Maggie shares. At the reception, Maggie and Brady enjoyed every second of dancing among their circle of family and friends before saying a final farewell and retreating to Amangani to rest and recover.

Lauren + Garrett
North Carolina couple Lauren and Garrett met at an Umphrey’s McGee concert on New Year's Eve in Atlanta, Georgia. The two shared mutual friends from seeing the band over the years, but on this night they were formally introduced. Fast forward six months, Garrett finally asked Lauren on a date which, of course, was an acoustic show featuring members of their favorite band on the beach of Charleston, South Carolina. Two years later in November, the couple climbed 700 feet to the summit of Hawksbill Mountain nestled in North Carolina’s remote backcountry of Linville Gorge. Amongst the fall foliage and kaleidoscope of colors, Garrett asked Lauren to marry him. While Lauren and Garrett opted out of an extravagant wedding, they simply couldn’t imagine not having their immediate family part of the day. With an intimate guest list of 24, they landed on a private-owned ranch tucked in the quaint western town of Dubois on the famous Wind River. Known for its authentic feel of the old Frontier, Lauren and Garrett stayed true to Wyoming’s roots with a laid-back summer weekend starting with a Friday night rodeo as their rehearsal dinner.
For the wedding day, the couple wandered to the Tetons to exchange private vows at sunrise with McKenna Rhyne Photography. After having a quiet morning alone in the Rocky Mountains, Lauren and Garrett set forth to say “I do!” surrounded by their loved ones. The most important aspect for the ceremony and reception was to source an expert team of local creatives. “We wanted to respect the town and felt that using small, local vendors as opposed to out of state or corporate wedding companies would allow for a more personal and intimate experience,” explains the bride.

Taylor + Brock
Taylor and Brock are a testament to ‘what is meant to be will always be.’ After dating in high school and going separate ways, the pair reconnected nearly five years later during their senior year of college. Fast forward to Christmas Eve in California, Brock suggested creating a TikTok video on the roof of his parents’ home. When the couple reached the top, the mood was set with string lights and romantic décor where Brock planned a proposal that every girl dreams about. It wasn’t long before Taylor and Brock found the perfect location to tie the knot; a family-owned cattle ranch on the banks of the Snake River beneath the Teton Village.
The vision for the day? A charmingly eclectic wedding with natural elements amid muted splashes of color and textural details. The bride and groom shared vows in front of an exquisite asymmetrical arch blooming with pink, lavender and peach-hued florals as 85 guests looked on. “It wasn’t until we opened our vow books and the words started disappearing on the page that we realized how hard it was raining,” Taylor shares.
Once Taylor and Brock were pronounced husband and wife, the newlyweds, along with their loved ones took coverage in the tented reception where a cocktail lounge was situated for guests to mingle. The couple further elevated the tent setting with climbing greenery and woven pendant lighting overhead.

“Always assume the best of your partner and remember that it’s not ‘me vs. you’ it’s us vs. the problem.”
Laura + Richard
If you ask Laura and Richard how they met, the exact moment is unknown. Though, what the couple does recall is the location; a guest ranch where they would one day wed. “Our families visited the ranch the same week every summer and it is where we met, grew up together and fell in love,” Laura shares. To propose, Richard asked Laura to marry him in the backyard of her childhood home, just the two of them. With a deep connection to A Bar A Ranch, Laura and Richard secured the venue where they crossed paths 26 years ago. To capture the full essence of one of the oldest and largest ranches in the country, the couple worked with Spice Jones of Calluna Events, Kitzel Ruth of The Perfect Petal, and Carrie King Photography.
The wedding embodied a natural Western aesthetic with whimsical colors of late summer and wildflowers touting their unruly beauty. A backdrop of horses grazing among the 100,000 acre property in southern Wyoming’s Medicine Bow Mountains furthermore provided an idyllic setting.
Before guests even stepped foot into the lodge reception, they were blown away by the Nordicinspired tented cocktail party. A reimagined version of floor-to-ceiling cozy was cultivated with spacious lounge arrangements, cascading greenery and bistro lights strung from above.

Mikara + Chris
When Mikara started instructing kickboxing classes at 9Round, she didn’t anticipate that she would meet her husband at the gym. But, after training alongside Chris for almost a year, the pair went on their first official date at the end of 2018. Two years later, during a photo shoot with Belle en Blanc, a bridal boutique located in the heart of downtown Billings, Montana, Chris popped the question. Much like a romantic movie scene from the early 2000s, Mikara modeled a gorgeous wedding gown on a rooftop parking garage overlooking the city. “The photographer told me to twirl to get the dress in its fullness and when I turned around Chris was down on one knee. I almost didn’t believe it was real because we were portraying a bride and groom,” Mikara recalls. In the early fall, Mikara and Chris made their way to the altar for a second time, but in real life. The nuptials were intimate, sentimental and exactly how the couple envisioned their elopement.
“Neither of us wanted the big, elaborate wedding, so we opted to elope in one of the most beautiful places in the country. We wanted to remember each moment, and bask in that special time together,” shares the newlyweds. Come rain or shine, Mikara and Chris, said “I do” in front of seven guests at Grand Teton National Park with photographer Macy Spencer to capture the intentional celebration.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“Communication is key. Even when things are rocky, and you can’t seem to get along, always communicate with your partner. Listen to listen, with an open heart, and remember why you fell in love with that person. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it!”

Ashley + Colby
From the very beginning of their story, Colby knew he wanted Ashley in his life. “He found my Instagram, messaged me and booked a flight down to Texas two weeks later to take me on our first date,” Ashley recalls. Nearly four months later on New Year's Eve, the couple took a snowmobile ride through the Rockies. An hour into the adventure, Colby found an outcropping overlooking a small river and proposed to his future wife. “It was the picture-perfect, private proposal of my dreams!” the bride reminisces.
Similar to the proposal, Ashley and Colby's wedding day came as close to Heaven as possible. The 35 acre property effortlessly transformed into a ceremony from a fairytale with cattle grazing in the pastures and stunning views of Beaver Mountain as the backdrop. Since Ashley and Colby both work in the wedding industry, it was rather important to create the most personalized experience possible. With intention behind every little detail and design choice, guests felt the tried and true Western culture.
When it came to the reception, the bride and groom mimicked the barn’s dark and moody appearance through a candlelit ambiance, thick greenery cascading along the center of the farm tables and black décor. As the evening progressed, Ashley and Colby slipped away for a private branding by the fire outside. The newlyweds used a piece of leather custom tooled with their last name and wedding date, which they branded together.
ADVICE TO FUTURE COUPLES
“Our advice would be to do everything that both of you want and find a way to combine each of your ideas into one! Definitely do not get caught up in planning every single moment. We let the night flow and when the mood was right, we had our speeches, dances and getaway. Keep it simple, intimate and yours.”
