Campus Ministry Update: Just as courses transitioned online, Campus Ministry moved activities to a virtual format this semester to continue ministering to the Rosemont community. “When campus closed, the Mission and Ministry team felt that students should know that they still and always have a home in Campus Ministry, so we adapted as quickly as possible,” said Gina Ingiosi, Director of Campus Ministry. “We worked very hard to bring as many of our activities and events to the dispersed Rosemont community as possible, and we’re grateful to have had the chance to continue to build accessible and inclusive fellowship.” Below are a few of the many ways the Campus Ministry team continued interactions with the Rosemont community: • Converted Lenten Communion services and Sunday Mass into reflections posted on social media • Provided Campus Ministry Leaders with materials for a self-guided retreat • Converted the Junior Class Blessing and rose distribution to a more accessible, asynchronous blessing for email • Created an Earth Day celebration video in collaboration with the Rosegrow Student Lead Environmental Action Coalition • Provided seniors with materials for a self-guided retreat and held a post-retreat reflection

Sr. Jeanne Hatch, Vice President for Mission, will retire on June 30 after 16 years at Rosemont. You may have seen her in her Campus Ministry office, around campus at the numerous events she attends, or even taking to the sky on the zip line as our own “Flying Nun” at the annual Oktoberfest celebration. Sr. Jeanne has overseen hundreds of liturgies, planned dozens of service trips and retreats, organized many Heritage and Founders’ weeks, and educated students, faculty, and staff members about Cornelia Connelly and her educational philosophy. In addition, Sr. Jeanne established the Mission in Action Committee, serving as its Chair, helped to establish the protocols for weddings in the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception, served as the Chair of the Safety Committee, and served as the Co-Chair of the Commission on the Legacy of Slavery at Rosemont College. You can read more about Sr. Jeanne in a recent Rosemont College profile piece by clicking here. View photos of Sr. Jeanne during her time at Rosemont. Watch your emails for a virtual farewell gathering! We all thank her for her dedication to the College and wish her a happy retirement!
