NICKELODEON

Find out what projects and programs NICKELODEON is looking for and make an appointment with Chris Rose on June 15th between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Editorial Line: ViacomCBS Kids and Family encompasses Nickelodeon and VIS KIDS. We source and develop kidfriendly originals within animated, live action and preschool genres by aligning closely with our production and development teams across Latin America, the United Kingdom, Spain and Israel. We are proactive in developing new creative partnerships and deepening our relationships with talent as we look to establish ourselves as the Switzerland of content – offering the opportunity to create platform agnostic content. We create hitmaking content for any buyer under any partnership, while also developing quality hit content that supports Nickelodeon, Paramount+ and other ViacomCBS brands. With the rapidly changing media landscape and proliferation of new platforms, we are focused on making sure content is available everywhere kids are. We are currently in production on VIS KIDS’ first animated series Sharkdog, produced in the United Kingdom, the USA and Singapore. What are we looking for: We are constantly looking for new creative ideas and content formats that allow us to tell stories in a different way, ideas that could come from any part of the world. We are always on the lookout for broad comedy, both in the animation and live action space. We are interested in hearing ideas featuring strong and relatable characters. ViacomCBS Kids and Family platforms are home to many much loved and revered kids brands, we want your idea to feel like it would complement our much loved iconic brands. Animation ideas for 8-10 year olds with smart humour, appealing to a broad audience and that kids can relate to. Single cam liveaction ideas for 6-12 year olds, grounded in reality but must be equally aspirational, bold and distinctive. Bridge animation ideas for 4-7 year olds. How to pitch: The earlier the better – we love to hear ideas at the earliest possible stage. You don’t need artwork if you’re a writer and can’t draw, and you don’t need a script if you’re an artist who can’t write! A simple idea – no more than a page – and a quick conversation is the best way to see if your idea is right for us. We can be contacted on email, viskids@viacomcbs.com. DELEGATES’ GUIDE

We have other local channels including: Toonami, Boing and Cartoonito that serve our local editorial needs in the region. Ultimately we seek content that feels complementary to the original slate we produce ourselves. We’re seeking animation and live action series projects for kids 3-13 years old for our kids and family services across EMEA. We look for diverse stories and characters that will entertain our audiences with comedy, adventure, action and more. We want locally relevant stories that could have global appeal. We like to be aware of projects at an early stage to consider coproduction and pre buy templates. But we also consider projects in production and those that are already produced. FOCUS

Focus Residences The process of writing and creating animation films requires time, focus and occasionally coaching. The residencies aim to provide authors with a setting conducive to advancing, exploring and refining their film project: their ideas, script, or visual research. The residencies’ collective (led by NEF Animation since 2017) brings together, on a national and international scale, structures that have residencies for animation creation. The Annecy International Animation Film Festival is a regular event where the collective have open discussions. This year, the “Focus Residencies” are expanding their circle by giving the floor to “newcomers” who will present recently created residency schemes. Alongside them will of course be the artists to share their respective experiences. Session in English SPEAKERS Luce GROSJEAN

Twenty Manila is born out of a house marked as No. 20 in one of the stereotypical streets of Quezon City-a mix of social classes and dog breeds in one stretch. 15 years hence and slowly but surely approaching 20 in human years, the team retains its laid back vibe despite the stress, multiple fashion and office makeovers, and an unquantifiable number of savory experiences. If asked what we do, we can proudly say that we attempt to craft honest, thought-provoking, impactful and sometimes fantastical renditions of daily life in video, film, word, and sound.
