Important Advice It is a common misconception that a high-quality, private college education is out of financial reach for a majority of students, no matter how accomplished they may be. At Rollins, nothing could be further from the truth. Here are some important pieces of advice to help ensure that your financial aid process is as smooth and successful as possible. • Apply early. To receive maximum consideration for financial aid, it is important to meet all deadlines. • Read carefully. Devote an appropriate amount of time to read through all the information you receive. • Respond quickly. Make sure to submit any requested information as quickly as possible. • Be accurate. Providing inaccurate information could put you at risk of missing important deadlines. • Create a file. Keep all of your financial aid documents and correspondence in one organized location.

Financial Aid Based on Financial Need A majority of financial aid at Rollins is based on the specific financial need demonstrated by each applicant to the College. In fact, depending on your academic performance and family’s financial situation, you could be eligible for up to $52,000 annually.

Applying for Need-Based Financial Aid 1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as soon after January 1 as possible, requesting that an analysis be sent to Rollins College (institution code: 001515). 2. Complete a Rollins Supplemental Financial Aid Application (rollins.edu/finaid). This application should be mailed directly to the Office of Financial Aid at Rollins no later than March 1. 3. Accept your financial aid award. This is done by submitting your admission deposit by the required deadline. Tentative financial aid awards are mailed to accepted applicants as soon as both required applications have been submitted and processed. Final awards are made once copies of parent and student income tax returns (IRS form 1040, 1040A, or 1040 EZ) are received and verified. Copies of tax returns should be submitted no later than July 1.

Veterans A new veteran’s benefit entitled the Post 9/11-GI Benefit (also known as Chapter 33) is now available. If you or your parents served on active duty in the US military after September 11, 2001, you may be entitled to veteran’s benefits and Rollins College Yellow Ribbon participation grants to fund 100% of your Rollins College tuition. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for further details.
