hen lawyers talk about “venue shopping” in the United States, one is talking about the strategic question of where one seeks to initiate a legal action -- which court - which state which country? Thus, we are looking at venue shopping as a lawyer for the claimant or the plaintiff. First Point: Major controversies – class actions for example – touch many jurisdictions and in some cases can be brought in almost any court in the United States.
