Osprey Reaching Times

“Light room heaven!”

Last week Razwana spent some time relaxing in the light room; the light room has been an area of interest for some time! One eye witness said… “I couldn’t believe how relaxed she looked, even her toys had fallen asleep!” Razwana compared the lights to her idea of heaven.

for the stars Wannabe Hollywood star; Holly, has been working hard to make her dreams come true. As the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz, Holly is on her way to becoming Birtenshaw’s very own celebrity. Spending her lunch break writing CVs and the whole day being an actress; Holly is very dedicated and is working hard.

Broken zipper causes mass confusion! The infamous colours of Kane

In lessons, at lunch, in PE, at pony riding…no matter where he is or what he is doing, Kane will always be wearing his signature coat! Then one day, much to the surprise of everyone in school, Kane came in a different coat! Shockwaves rippled through the school! It turns out Kane’s zipper had broken on his way out of his mum’s shop and after much deliberation, he put on his brave face and made his way to school. He said to his teacher “I panicked at first, I thought I had lost my limited edition coat and there are only a few thousand of them!” Luckily Kane’s coat was fixed during the day and he is now back in his lucky colours once again!

Teacher in shock by new name

On 12 November 2015, pupil George had, had enough of his teachers boring name and made a “Menacing Name” chart. His new teacher’s name was now to be “Cave-dweller the Weirdo”. Kaylie aka “Cave-dweller the Weirdo” was shocked by her new name but saw the funny side after George drew a picture of her wearing fur and holding a club in her hand whilst teaching. “Uh uh uhhh” Cave-dweller the Weirdo told George.

One day a package arrived in school…it was the serving trolley that Sparrows had been waiting for! No longer would they have to make several trips to the kitchen at lunchtime. When they opened the box they realised it was disassembled! Luckily Luke came to the rescue with his excellent building skills. He made the trolley in half an hour and even took it over to the Sparrows classroom. The pupils were so happy they made Luke a card to say thank you for his hard work. Sparrows call it their ‘Super Duper’ Trolley tray!

Pupil attempts new bouncing record!

One pupil at Birtenshaw School is reaching new heights! Aimee is currently Birtenshaw’s gym ball champion. Aimee started bouncing at an early age and it seems that with each passing week she gets higher and higher. This super talent has helped her make excellent progress on the trampoline and she has won some prestigious awards for her skills. Since starting at Birtenshaw, Aimee has been through 5 therapy balls which have grown tired through all the bouncing and are now resting peacefully in the bin!
